Spark plugs changed now idle is all over the place :-s

Just changed the plugs but when I switched the engine on idle hits 2000 rpm then slowly settles down to about 1200rpm after about 30 seconds. It used to be a stable 900-950rpm. Driving it around it seems absolutely fine it's just the idle that's mental. Have checked the wires that were removed...

    Aldi 42 inch TV

Got this Panasonic http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/panasonic/viera-txl42e30b/pana-txl42e30b for £605 on Monday. I can't fault it, picture and build quality is great, plenty of connectivity, USB recording and I picked up a compatable Netgear wifi adapter for under £20 so I have all...

    htc sensation xe, any good

The mrs has the Sensation which makes my Desire HD looks slow (which it really isn't). So with the xe's extra cpu speed it will be very fast and it has a higher capacity battery to offset the processor speed gain. If I had a Sensation I wouldn't bother, but at the moment it'd be my choice for a...

    Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Re: Samsung Nexus Prime Although I prefer the upcoming HTC phones to Samsung's offerings, mainly due to the older Samsungs feeling "cheaper", I don't get the whole the screen is too big argument. Firstly that's because I have pretty big hands so I find my HTC Desire HD is much better for me...

    Clutch release bearing gone?

Have noticed a "plastic" sounding clicking noise coming from the gearbox area when changing gears (intermittent) and when revving engine/coming off revs (constant), so with that I suspected the lower engine mount possibly. The dogbone is fine, gearbox and upper engine mount recently replaced. So...

Heater resistor pack where to get the MOSFET from, now discontinued

I'll probably give that a go for the sake of £7, specs seem pretty similar, thanks.

Heater resistor pack where to get the MOSFET from, now discontinued

Neither of those stock the old model and have tried to match the specs to another model but I don't know how flexible I can be with the specs to go for something different.

Heater resistor pack where to get the MOSFET from, now discontinued

Tried http://www.999isecurity.com/huf75337p3-huf75337p3.html, they took the order but emailed me back today saying it was discontinued. I have a feeling that'll be the same for other small retailers too if the likes of RS and Maplin don't have it.

Heater resistor pack where to get the MOSFET from, now discontinued

I've diagnosed my climate control issue and I have a faulty MOSFET in the heater pack which I've now removed. The problem is I can only find a link to a Maplin part number on here and already tried a few other companies (RS etc.) but they all no longer stock it. Does anybody have a link to...

    3000w amp?

Not worth the money. I'd be looking for something second hand on ebay from a reputable make. Take note of the RMS figures, not the 'max power' in watts. If it doesn't list them, don't bother as that's the true power the amp is putting out and is probably MUCH lower than the big number in the...

Aux belt changed, idle now VERY rough, dropping to 500rpm sometimes.

Exhaust all sealed up, charcoal cannister completely removed and hoses plugged but now idle has gone up to around 1800rpm, much more stable but just high. Have checked all sensors and hoses are connected that may have been disturbed when doing the aux belt.

Aux belt changed, idle now VERY rough, dropping to 500rpm sometimes.

I did double check sensors and hoses before refitting bumper but I'll try the exhaust first as that's a definite problem.

Aux belt changed, idle now VERY rough, dropping to 500rpm sometimes.

Changed the aux belt no problem, alt is charging fine, tension is good, but now the idle is all over the place. The exhaust centre mount was shagged when I got the car and only just replaced and was sitting much lower than it should. So I'm thinking with having to raise and lower the engine so...

Fitting shocks, should I be able to put the shock in and bolt up hub, seems too long?

Re: Fitting shocks, should I be able to put the shock in and bolt up hub, seems too l Course they don't, haynes book of lies FTL. Assumed it might be the same for the 172 :dapprove: Anything I need to do with them then?

Fitting shocks, should I be able to put the shock in and bolt up hub, seems too long?

Re: Fitting shocks, should I be able to put the shock in and bolt up hub, seems too l Got it sorted but both inner driveshafts popped out with how low I had to take the hubs. Passenger side went back in no problem but drivers side was completely separated. How much of an issue is this? A quick...

Fitting shocks, should I be able to put the shock in and bolt up hub, seems too long?

Re: Fitting shocks, should I be able to put the shock in and bolt up hub, seems too l Will try a bar on the hub later, or get a mate round at the weekend if I still can't do it.

Fitting shocks, should I be able to put the shock in and bolt up hub, seems too long?

Re: Fitting shocks, should I be able to put the shock in and bolt up hub, seems too l There doesn't seem enough travel on the hub to get them to mate up. Pushing it as far as possible down it still seems about an inch too high.

Fitting shocks, should I be able to put the shock in and bolt up hub, seems too long?

I've looked at a few of of the guides on here but once the spring and shock have been assembled and donut is on etc. should I be able to just put the shock up into the turret, top mount on (loose) to hold it in place and then bolt up? I can't even get the bottom hole of the strut to line up with...

FK coilovers new locking ring/platform needed, Renault specialist?

I'm hoping they have them in stock for VAG cars and the clio ones will be the same size but no doubt they'll need ordering from Germany :dapprove: Or I could see what their return policy is like and if they have both sizes in stock just order them and send back the wrong ones.

FK coilovers new locking ring/platform needed, Renault specialist?

Basically both front locking rings and the platforms on top of them are cracked and the threads have gone on them, so I need replacements ASAP. Does anybody know of any Renault specialists that usually have them in stock? I know a lot of VAG people suggest Venom motorsport but I don't know if...

Alternator missing a wire? Battery dead after a few days of not driving.

I went to start the car after it being stood for a few days but it was dead. So I looked over the alternator wiring and noticed there was a black plug going into it with one white/beige wire and what looked to be the snapped end of a green wire next to it. I couldn't find a green wire anywhere...

    HTC Desire Z

Probably not, for the same reason they aren't doing the Desire HD either. They compete directly with the Windows phones they offer. So it's phones 4 u, dial a phone or possibly carphone warehouse you'll have to get it through.

    Upgrade due tomorrow.......

Desire HD, especially for those of us with big hands. Can't stand itunes and like a bit of freedom with what I want to do with MY phone so Android seemed the only choice, plus it WILL be cheaper than an iphone. The only problem is O2 are retards and have favoured the Windows mobile phone...

    Nexus S

I was going to hang around for the Nexus S but it's not the best spec in world and the finish looks a bit too on the shiny side. I went for the Desire HD instead. The Hoff makes some good points and if the Desire HD had a more easily accessible micro SD slot I'd certainly use it more and...
