    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

Am up £2k in just under a month. Still not sure $100,000 dollars can be breached, purely from a mindset standpoint. Plenty of previously accurate models predicting anything from $60,000 - $100,000 by end of 2021, I'd certainly be happy with something between those. So...CGT...any creative...

    Is Pistonheads classifieds dying?

I like the amount of filtering you can do so you can pick up on cars you might not have considered before. Autotrader is too vague for faster cars i.e 0-60 5 secs or less or 8 or less, it's a WIDE range. I get most people don't need/want that.

It's only because I lost out on the last bull run dipping in and out that I haven't touched it.

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

There's something stupid like over 100% currently being mined are being snapped up by PayPal at the moment. That's before you even get into any of the big funds grabbing a % or 2. I'm right near £12k now. My gut feeling was cash out back in mid/late Nov. But I'm glad to see the fast rebound of...

My first yellow car - Leon FR

No deals on anywhere? I need to get my Cupra's belts done next year, Awesome GTI were quite reasonable IIRC. Edit £369.

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

Yeah I lost a bit worrying about taking profits, so ended up in and out a few times. Definitely a HODLer now. I'm not sure people are mentally ready for it to actually reach 100k, there's supposed to be less interest in the bull run this time round so hoping for some FOMO action when the price...

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

Yeah, am up at £11k right now, talks of sharp pull back possible. Hoping theres small pullback, consolidation, then higher highs. Not sure if we'll see the usual sell off in December, dip in Jan, then rally through the roof. The stock to flow modelling is predicting 100k+ in March 21 (if it...

    The New Phone Thread

The only issues I've had with my 8 Pro is the curve is too defined so warps text at the very edge on certain apps. And you can't turn the notification volume down independently of the ring volume, lots of people have requested the feature to be reinstated, so hopefully it turns up in an update.

Really happy with the OnePlus 8 pro. So fast, Oxygen OS is nice and clean. 120hz refresh rate is lovely to use, camera is good, macro decent, can see me using that in work a bit. Overall liking it a lot, definitely level with the flagships now.

I'll see how the protector goes, I know they can be hit and miss with a decent curve on...

    The New Phone Thread

Mine not so much. But my phone takes a battering in work, knocked about regularly, can't fault the Spigen on it. Going for a tempered glass screen protector too as this phone is a bit dearer than I usually spend.

    The New Phone Thread

Got a Oneplus 8 Pro 256gb coming tomorrow. Always held off Oneplus phones as they fell just short of other flagships with a few features. Not now it seems. I've always had HTCs for years so will be interesting to see how Oxygen OS compares. Looking forward to a jump in speed, battery life, warp...

    My HUE project

I'm interested in this. The cost was the only thing putting me of the Hue stuff strips. I already use cheap LED strip for lighting in 3 bedrooms so this is ideal for making them smart.

Bottled it ?. Was worried about pull back over the coming days. Depends if there's any support at $5K+, we'll see what happens. Might look to buy back in if it drops to $4k.

Here's hoping for positive ETF news in May, if it doesn't get postponed again . Still climbing for now though.

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

Just over 0.9 BTC for me. I'd swapped it around to XRP at various points last year but sticking with Bitcoin now I think. I'm hoping for some gains this year, but if it takes longer I'm ok with that. It's a gamble at the end of the day, if you're happy with the risk.

Will have to see if this a "proper" bull run or just bots jumping on the April fools lols. Either way, glad the market is finally up, hope it doesn't lose all the gains as fast though.

    Galaxy Fold

If it folded fully flat it would crease/break the big screen eventually (still might TBH). I think it folds to 175 degrees or something instead of the full 180. A proper fold flat phone, with two slim sides is still a few years away.

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

Terrible photo, sorry. had to grab a pic as he spun around. I suppose if you're buying a car as ugly as the Bentayga, you might as well get it in a stupid colour as well. Instantly reminded me of this.

    4K TV's

I'm really excited! Was wary of paying that much for a TV, our Sony was £650! But room conditions demand the QLED brightness and anti reflection, that's how I explained it to the the other half anyway ?And she sort of agreed that it's got to a decent price now as it was hovering around £3-3.2k...

    4K TV's

Finally pulled the trigger on the Samsung QE65Q9FN (2018), roll on Saturday. Can't wait to get a nice bright TV as it has to go opposite a window. It's come down £600 everywhere now, and John Lewis will price match up to 28 days after purchase so if it comes down for Black Friday we'll get the...

    4K TV's

Depends how far you can push the budget, Richer Sounds have some refurb LG OLED B7 for £1079 and they have been as low as £970 odd from there, only a 12 month warranty though.

    4K TV's

Have just been to look at the 65" 2018 QLEDs vs 2017 OLEDs. Because the TV is going to be opposite a large window I think the extra brightness and anti reflection features of the Samsung QLEDs are going to be the better choice. As for model it's going to be either the 2017 QE65Q9F or the 2018...

    4K TV's

Looking to switch to 4k and maybe 65", hopefully for £2k ish. Currently have a Sony Bravia KDL-55W829B which widely got excellent reviews for 1080p, and I agree, I've found it lives up to the hype. Having seen OLEDs in John Lewis I thought that's the way to go but it would probably be a 2017...

    The New Phone Thread

Have you tried any HTCs? U12 is out soon. I've always bought them for years. Sense is nice to use, updates could be quicker but I've always been happy with them. And they've caught up to Samsung/Sony etc with the dust and water proofing now. I've got the U11 which everyone was underwhelmed with...
