Sounds to me like you might have some corroded earths. Check the earths in the rear lights to see if they have rusted. Try and clean them up with a wire brush.

This. You could of bought it and the previous owner took his alloys off and lobbed them ones back on so they where never used.

If your pads are low there could be metal plate behind the pads catching the disks. It would leave like a score mark on the disk if it goes on for to long.

CVs aint on the back? Is the wheel tight? When where the bearings changed? Are the disks catching? Are the pads low? Could be many things imo. I'd want to say bearing but can't say nothing without seeing it.
