LOL it actually came with two, but they were just molded and not covered, Ive replaced them with the lidded compartment, which IMO looks neater and cleans up the interior.
It looked like this before (not my picture)
If I decide to replace the cubbyhole in the front with the lidded ashtray...
Im waiting on the rubber mat that covers the screw, and the bottle opener fits both ways so you can either have a large cubby hole or a put the opener in the middle and still have 2 areas for a cup/bottle etc.
Springs were £160 I believe.
We all at times spend money on silly things for our car. But I think this might be the most stupid thing yet. I noticed in some Golfs there is a VW Bottle opener in the centre console? No idea why, or what purpose it has but I managed to find a Genuine one on eBay China from a Chinese VW Dealer...
Looks amazing, its in better condition than most new cars haha. but forgive my ignorance, whats different between this and a normal R5 GTT?
I know there was a Turbo 2 but that was rear engined/rwd I believe. Is this a Raider or Storm or something??
TBH I didnt know it was the 140 bluemotion at the time. I bought it like a girl or an idiot. I saw it, I wanted it. It stood out to me. I think it was the 19s. I was possibly the easiest customer ever. I didnt knock a penny off or even test drive it. From finding the car online on the laptop to...
Yes cause thats EXACTLY what I said isn't it? I get where you are coming from on sentiment, but Its clear I haven't bought this to save money. I love cheap motoring. I did 18 months in a £1400 clio after I sold my Type R. Went to Vegas, New York and Rome , generally did what I Want financially...
Oh I agree. I had a similar chat with the guy fitting my tyres when He said "fair play for running proper tyres even on a diesel". Regardless its a £15kish car, id be mad not to keep up with decent maintaince. But Id be lying if it didnt factor into my decsion to buy one. I went over my initial...
I paid £14500 for mine in May on 45k. 2012 model.
That mpg is with the tuning box. I was getting 500ish to £50 pre box. Mainly 30mph roads and 2 or 3 8 mile motorway blasts a week.
I turn the start stop off (i felt like I was stalling), and I find that it returns better mpg in 5th than 6th on the motorway so I dont listen to the "shift up" on the MFD. I dont quite get 650 miles, but Ive never been able to put much more than £50 in, maybe the Scirroco has a smaller tank?
I...
Edit done a bit of research. This is the first result Ive found so could be wrong. It also mentions what an amazing job VW have done with the Nitrogen figures......
Still £20/£30 to tax a year? Ive no idea.
One thing I will say, I do genuinely get the quoted figures. In fact with my box, I was working in Tamworth (Birmingham to Tamworth) working 3pm-11pm (so no traffic) for a week and I averaged 67mpg over the 250odd miles that week.
Of course it is, So is doing any sort of modification to your car, or even owning a performance variety of a model. Its a waste of money. But we are all gonna still do it.
We have them on the 110bhp Caddy Work Van because 370mm discs :D
If I was running serious power, I wouldnt be putting TTRS Set ups on them..... There's a reason you can do the whole conversion for £500 lol.
Is yours in a mk5? Im not too clued up on the engines, But this is a CR Engine (common rail?). Im not sure if there was an engine in between the PD and the CR?
I also had the dual mass flywheel start knocking @ 48k, But the Warranty sorted that for me pain free :)
Hi, thought I already had a thread for this, but due to work/girlfriend commitments, I bought a diesel in May. Went with with a 2012 Scirroco 140 Bluemotion. £30 Tax and a genuine 50mpg meant it was actually a sound choice financially. It was also £14 a month cheaper to insure than my Clio 1.2...
In my limited experience as a standard car, yes you can tell its lowered. Not in normal driving but speed bumps and pot holes you can feel its harder, but its far from ruined the ride. Im on a 35 profile P Zero as well which wont help.
I went with H&Rs 30mm springs. Honestly best thing Ive...
I'm not sure Im the right guy to ask. Long story short, I went to the dealers get a Mk 7 Golf GTD. I saw this nearly £7k cheaper and preferred it bar the ridiculous arch gap (im not sure if its worse on mine because I have 19s). I paid the money, and was given a collection day 5 days later (it...
Its the best thing Ive done. 30mm on H&R Springs and kept the stock DCC Suspension so I still have the modes. Ideally I wanted to go lower, but coilovers seem a bit of a headache. Airbags are an option in the future.
I have gloss black badges and mirrors now, hence why Im thinking of doing the...
Good evening, could someone please photoshop my wheels in both Gloss back and Anthracite. Im considering a change, but wondering if the darkness will make them look smaller?
Thanks
Thanks, got that working very well, well happy!
However, I Want to add Sky TV now, Im going to get a second Sky box installed, which I want to play through the sound bar. My TV is a Samsung 32" LCD, it was a decent £500 TV when I bought it, but its around 4 years old so possibly wont have an...
Hi, someone has bought me this sound bar for xmas...

I want to wire it up to my xbox one/tv. Everything comes through my xbox (gaming/netfix) so Im guessing that it needs to be hooked up to...
