Anyone fancy a drive out to North Wales next week, possibly Tuesday 8th October? I went for a drive out yesterday to the EVO Triangle via Bwlchgwynn, then across to Ruthin and went through clocaenog village again before stopping at Llyn Brenig for a bite to eat. We could go further into Wales to...
Some fairly large bits of rock getting thrown up there. He was a bit too close to the corner really. I don't think I would stand as close as that if it was my post
My car is titanium silver and the silver paint on the OZ's were slightly different shade of silver to the car. I reckon titanium would look good on F1's though. I've had mine done in anthracite and they look really good.

Mine has Goodridge braided lines and DOT5.1 fluid. Also using Ferodo DS2500 pads all round with Brembo HC front discs. I use the car for fast road and trackdays and the brakes are spot on.

What route did everyone take? I often pass Hartside on my way to Corbridge from Chester when I go to see my mum. Usually take Penrith turn off M6 but if I've got a bit of extra time I take South Lakes and go through Windermere and over the Kirkstone pass and then over the M6 to pick up the A686...
The cup version should have a cup badge on the door and the rear seats are just a bench type backrest without any headrests. The dampers are different as well as far as I know.
Has anyone seen the write up in EVO? Hot hatch group test with RS Clio, Fiesta ST, Peugeot 208 GTi , Nissan Juke Nismo and Mini JCW in Wales. The Fiesta comes out on top overall with the Peugeot 2nd and Mini JCW 3rd and Clio last and also the heaviest of the five cars tested. The Clio has the...
I've just replaced the last set of Brembo HC front discs with another set of the same and DS2500 pads. The discs lasted just over four years. I've tried EBC green pads on the back and they're crap. Now got DS2500's all round and Pagid rear discs. The brakes never fade on track or on B roads...
I noticed coolant levels dropping on my 172 about 3 years ago after a trackday at Oulton Park. I couldn't see any obvious signs of any leaks anywhere. I took it to my local mechanic and he suggested getting a bottle of radseal and adding it to the coolant. I took his advice and it hasn't lost...
Could be the engine mountings are getting tired and allowing the engine to move around
I changed mine to K Tec ones a couple of years ago and it cured the problem on mine
There's a fast lane car show at the rugby ground in Corbridge. Thinks its 12th May? Was up there last week and saw signs on the way into the village from the A68.
I like the look of the Clio. I watched the video they did of it in Granada and it got good reports from the guy driving it.
I've driven a Fiesta 1.6 automatic in Canada last year and was very impressed by the overall quality of the car. The level of equipment was really good.
I don't get the...
That's well worth the money. I've got the 120 piece set and its very good quality.
If you want an induction kit get a decent one that takes the air in away from any engine heat. I had a cone filter on my 172 when I bought the car and it was sat behind the radiator. Consequently it was sucking...
I don't rate the local main dealer here. They sure know how to charge for any work. My Renault Trafic went there for its 36000 service. Had to wait over an hour to collect it and got charged way over the odds. Won't be going back there in a hurry. Also they have no sense of urgency. The Trafic...
Citroen used a keypad immobiliser on some models for a few years but dropped them after a lot of complaints. Plus the built in alarm systems became more widely available.
Second time I've had a letter from them about the bonnet catch. I had to go to the sorting office to collect it because I was in bed when the post arrived. Hate to think how much they wasted posting them all by recorded delivery. Ridiculous. The letter is really patronising. It's hardly rocket...
I'm using standard 172 airbox and it works fine. Had a cone filter when I bought the car and it was sucking hot air from behind the radiator which did it no favours.
