If you press one of the F keys it pulls up a load of real time stats on the screen that shows your height and location in the form of some co-ordinates based on the original spawn point?
Although with talk of autosaves I guess we are talking about the console version?
Sony KDL-32W705C
Very low latency. Actually renowned for being perfect for gaming due to the lack of lag.
Great image quality in game mode if a little over-sharpened but as a result it does pull out a lot of detail. Had one in a small bedroom but sold it and bought the 40 inch version which was...
Well bye bye SLI. What a load of s**t that has been and too much money pee'd up the wall on a poorly supported piece of tech. Was going to wait for the Titan or Ti but I had the money so figured I'd get a 1080 now so I'd get the full six months worth out of it before I upgrade again.
Not really...
I mean the new pascal Titan. Should be a big enough upgrade over 980ti's that even in games that support SLI really well, I won't be losing too much when I drop to single GPU. In games that don't use SLI or aren't particularly efficient in SLI I will be better off.
I figure it will be a tad...
Any guessing when we might see a new Titan?
I'm done with SLI. Regret the day I ever decided to go down that route. I want to go back to a single card but I don't fancy going from 980ti SLI down to a single 1080. I want to minimise the step down on my games that do use SLI well.
I want the...
Didn't like the first few. Never completed them as I soon got bored.
I like this new one a lot more. More story, more investment in the characters, more motivation to play.
I will get a couple at launch. I'm expecting 20% real world performance boost over my 980ti's. That tends to be the typical margin.
My only concern is how long it will be before we see the 1080ti. I suspect that will depend on any perceived threat from AMD. Shelling out a grand, minus what I...
Weird, if I go back in and do a free play and recreate the Rio race that you do during the intro, it runs a lot smoother. No idea why that would be, it obviously isn't doing all that tutorial stuff during the free play race.
Also the graphics options are odd. If I lower the detail preset to...
Not that impressed. I mean its a solid 60fps on XO.
That first race in Rio on PC isn't that smooth. It defaults to 1440p ultra but clearly isn't using multi-gpu or g-sync. On a single 980ti and OC'd 6700k it couldn't hold 60fps.
I mean Ok neither would Project Cars probably but then the latter...
I pre-ordered it for PS4. Obviously I can still cancel the order nearer the date but at least I've got an option on launch day stock.
On the other hand I did not order any of the PC headsets. I have a fairly decent PC (980ti SLI and will get two of the new pascals when they come out) but...
I have to second the comment about AA and cranking it up from FXAA. That was a big improvement where as in other games it isn't quite such a jump for what it costs.
LOL dude it's like a virtual dolls house for adults! That is what MMO's have always been to me! I spend hours running WoW to get transmog sets! You are the character; you don't jack off over it!
Got a beta key but can't be arsed to install it.
I only play grindy RPG type games because I like to make my character sexy. Destiny delivers on that. All the videos I've seen of the beta so far has everyone just wearing crappy boring clothes and firing a hundred bullets from crappy boring guns...
Seems to run pretty well on my PC. It should really because it is pretty decent (980ti SLI, 6700k @4.6) but compared to many a game lately (95% of AAA's in the past year!) it does seem well optimised even if it isn't delivering that high a level of efficiency with SLI.
I was playing at...
I think it is amazing. The character model and the facial animations are incredible. Overall some of the best graphics I've seen on the current generation.
I love the way they have made hunting animals more than just a trivial XP exercise but have made it more akin to Far Cry's system.
I loved...
Yeah I was about to upgrade a 3770k to a 6700 or 5930 and was mulling over the quantity of RAM.
I believe 16GB will do the job for gaming for the 3 years that I keep a mobo/RAM/CPU combo.
We won't be seeing a new console generation until a few years from now and they seem to be the driving...
Played about 3 or 4 hours so far. Absolutely loving it. One to play at night with the lights off and curtains drawn etc. Glad I bought it.
The jump scares are a b***h, I want to smack the developers!
I've got it but not fired it up yet.
I suspect that if like me you loved Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls and a multitude of walking sims out there then you will love it. I will report back once I've played it!
If you think you would like it then just buy it.
I don't trust reviews or peoples...
Just downloading Gears of War. Been going since yesterday evening and after 12 hours it is at 81%.
This isn't just with Gears of War though (I know a lot of people will be downloading it today), my Xbox is a piece of sh*t for download speeds.
If I download a game on Steam I see 170mb/s. On my...
Just got my new one and it is a s**tload quieter than my original launch PS4.
Tomb Raider used to lead to massive fan noise. Now it is inaudible and I've been stress testing it on the beach for 30 minutes. Under full load it is completely drowned out by my PC idling and my PC is very quiet on...

That's the one I have.
Yeah they even provide the firmware to download and instructions so you can upgrade it.
I personally get my firmware here:
http://www.ps4firmware.com/
as I found the firmware linked on Sony's website often...
It's not really a heat "problem". Nothing like the 360 issues. No technical issue at all. It is no worse than many a PC, in fact quieter than many a PC. I have my PS4 connected to a home cinema system and on quiet scenes or talky sections on *some* games the fan can be intrusive when you don't...
The heat and noise issue will manifest itself in games that tend to stress the console constantly.
Tomb Raider is a good one as it runs up to 60fps but the console is rarely able to maintain that frame rate so it is constantly running at 100% load. The beach section is quite punishing for it...
There ain't gonna be a slim one for a long while. I suspect they will focus on reducing the heat and noise of the current model which IMO was too small at launch and compromised on cooling/noise due to poor airflow.
There is a new model that is slowly appearing in small numbers right now. The...
