WOW!!!
Great idea! The best ideas are often the hardest to figure? Nice straigt piping, and a ok size filter and only cold air!! Maybe an air scoop would make it perfect. Only problem for me, is that it will only fit right hand drive cars. So have to do with my BMC! ;)
Michael
Which switch have you checked?
Should check: +/- to the fan + connection to the temp sensor (its the one that sits the lowest in the thermostat housing, not the one in the radiator)
If the fan/moter is buggered, it is easyist to change it with the radiator out. You need to remove hoses...
Yes on my race car... Will post some pics later...
Does make some more noise, cuz its connected directly to the body shell... No rubber as with the nornal engine mounts... I think you would need harder engine mounts too, if you are going too use the kind I use... with the damper, dont think it...
They both have good stuff, bought from both of them.... And good service too.. Always get a reply when emailing... can take a few days, but they are probably just succesfull/busy!!!
Will buy there again :D
Michael
Ive also tried a PBV.. Not impressed! The difference is so small that i hardly noticed it was there. Maybe it was setup wrong, dont know. Fact is, that the ECU sort of made countermeasures to the higher rail pressure. That is, cutting back on the time the injector would be open. Air/fuel ratio...
Reading some threads, it seems that almost everybody is unhappy with the service (no service) tha the Reno dealers provide... It is also no secret that they are not very good at helping out with spareparts and so on...
Sooooo... I have made up a little list of various parts that you might...
Yes... all cars lean off at certain points... Running economy = closed loop... leaning off, fueling, leaning off... etc.
A manufacturers chip is as you said a compromise... must be able to use various fuels in different conditions
Had my chip done while driving.... was adjusted on the PC in...
Dont think the cold start injector will be suited for "acting" as a fifth injector... Get a MF2 system with wich is a system with an injector and a control box, Fit the injector in the beginning of the manifold..
Just my opinion...
Michael :)
You should get it chipped as soon as possible.... It will be driveable, but not a 100%... (in the high revs!!) Been there done that! And you dont want to ruin your new motor!!! I did .... F7R bottom end, floved and ported head with cams, lightened and blue printed bottom end, totally...
would be great... thx ben... U R da man with all these tech questions!!!!!
(would be great some day being able to provide you with some tech info) BTW got the 206GTI pistons... will post pic later with awailable spec for you!
Michael
Thx BenR :D
So... the fan and aux water pump is controlled by the same sansor as the temperature gauge??? (the one on top of the thermo housing) (sorry, been a long day)
Michael
Hi all...
A quick question :)... which sensor controls the electric circulation pump and fan after the engine has been switched off?????
I thought it was the temp sensor in the radiator, but trying to disconnect it the fan kept on going!!! WTF??? Does anyone know?
cheers Michael
Std. flow rate is @ 3 bar 150 grammes/min. or 200 ml/min.
Renault used both the green and yellow injector for the valver.... their last 3 digits in their nr. are: 823 and 830 (internal resistance 2,4 ohm)
Michael
This is interresting!!!! Im listening and learning!!!! :)
Would the std. pump and injectors (2,1L Clio) be OK for about 200 - 220 bhp??? And what sholud the pressure be at the injector? any ideas?
Was thinking of getting uprated injectors, but I believe that a smaller injector probably has a...
I dont know the UK price, but in Denmark I was about 420 £, for the same type of parts as with the K-tec one.... So expensive, but sure does work!!!
Michael
Think 96K is OK.... Youve probably not been driving like your granny all the time? So 96K is OK!!! :)
Havent tried the K-Tec one, I use Sachs sporting, 4 finger sinter metal clutch with uprated springs.... Total overkill for the road, but for frequent track use its OK... The last one only...
hmm... thx m8... thougt of placing it there too... but desided it would be easyer to get cold air to the filter from the other position... Where your filter is i have my brake fluid cylinder...... so no room!! ;)
Michael
Yep it will work.... but i doubt that you will actually be able to tell the difference between a normal induction kit and a kit with "ram" effect.... I do believe that it is possible to measure the difference on a R/R though....
Remember that there are probably a few more sharp (90 deg.) on...
