With the revving high...I found that a few of the bolts (ones that bolt the bottom and top) were longer and I'd put in the wrong holes accidentally causing it to pull the top inlet up slightly (due to bolt bottoming out) and thus, causing an air leak! may help?

I bought some black xenons new mate, had 5 headlamps in total as they kept breaking! Couriers just kick them around! I was told by the seller they are replaceable but it's very fiddly...but I can't comment as to wether its true or not! :(

By the way, on the spacer side of things, I have et30 wheels, 10mm 2° camber axle spacers, and 15mm wheel spacers, and get virtually no rubbing at all ;)

I ordered genuine Citroen ones from eBay for about £6 and received the Alfa/Lancia ones. They are identical fit to the clio ones and I didn't need any adjustment :) very pleased with them!

Yeah got them right third time lucky :p lol they sent out some mor but they were broke in transit, so got some more sent out with 'FRAGILE' plastered all over the boxes, and they arrived fine! :D Customer service was great, can't complain at all! :)

Lol it's not adhesive! It is part of the lens, 182's have a grey strip the same colour as the inside of the lamp, And 172's have two different strips. I agree the insides of the lamps are the same colour, I'm not denying that. But they are different versions. I've answered my own question...

So how do you explain the pictures I put above then? How can one pair fade in a box? Both have roughly the same manufacture date on them (give or take a few weeks) and both lamps are BRAND NEW ;)

Right, i can confirm there ARE 3 DIFFERENT types of xenons. I have the grey insert xenons as standard on my 182, wanted to 'upgrade' to the black xenons as found on the 172's. finally took the plunge and bought some. They were accidentally picked wrong and I received both black inserts but...
