Re: iPhone "must have" apps
Help! We're touring Southwest US this Summer and have 19 locations and about 14 hotels all booked...but I can't find a handy app to log hotel names/addresses, flights, itinerary, reference numbers etc.
Loads of apps for sorting your luggage etc, and plenty that...
The field of view is very limited, obviously that's not a problem on a handheld with one person playing it, but if the tech was applied to a TV you would need to be sat face-on within the limits of the actual width of the TV.
Land Rover use similar tech for their Sat Nav screens, but actually...
It was a tongue in cheek dig ;) It saddens me that a developer exists purely to produce driving games, has a near unlimited budget and time, yet never seems to really properly develop the AI or physics. It could/should be beyond anything else out there considering they've been recreating the...
At this rate it won't matter if the driving experience is awful, still tonnes to do.

Track Editor could be a bit dreeeemy, although I presume it will have to be seriously limited in some ways.
I agree, the period where everyone buggered off to DR was really poor, everything from the photography, print quality and writing went downhill rapidly.
Back on form now though, last months massive McLaren F1 retrospective was one of the best things I've read in a magazine for years. Also good...
I 'retired' my beast of a lens yesterday, so these are probably the last few efforts from me for a couple of months. Although these are pretty average they are probably the shots I'm most proud of...if you tried to operate the lens in its current state you would quickly realise why.
As usual...
I'll miss the little Clio, seen it an awful lot on my travels. Looked like it was going well yesterday, a few close calls with cars passing really close on the limit through Folly...although to be honest everything looks pretty much out of control through there :)
What's next? Hoping to take...
Nice shots. The B&W treatment on the Typhoon is top notch.
Gutted I completely forgot about this though, my favourite air display by a mile. Really relaxed / friendly / compact and the runway is nice and close.
They're hoping to get it out for Christmas in some territories, but will probably not hit the UK until early next year.
Either way I predict it's going to be pretty darn hard to get hold of for a while.
Good retrospective on 20 years of the Clio, shame they didn't really go nuts and throw a 16V (assuming a remotely standard mint one still exists somewhere) and 172 Cup in as well just to really cover most of the bases.
Le Mans write-up was great too, that was one heck of an incident for the...
I love the little details like dirt accumulation and the headlight stuff they are doing...but if the AI still drives around on rails and smashes into you if you brake a bit early it's all for nothing.
Also, is it me or is the audio still bloody terrible?
wtf...
The game includes approx 1000 cars, 800 standard 'upscaled' cars from previous GT games, and 200 premium cars fully modelled to the smallest detail, the 800 standard cars "won't have interiors".
What have they been doing for 10 years?!
This looks 'a bit awesome' to say the least. Nintendo appear to have done it again...

A small selection from the game List:
Animal Crossing
Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy
Kid Icarus
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS

No mentions for the 3DS?! One of the best console reveals ever, incredible tech and an obscene games line-up. The hands-on reports so far have been hugely positive, I honestly can't believe how much they've squeezed into it.
Day one purchase without a doubt.
MS never suggested it would be a '360 Slim', just the usual journos/bloggers putting 2 and 2 together and getting an MS version of the PS3 Slim.
Hasn't been mentioned here yet, but it also powers Kinect. If you're using an 'old' 360 it will require a separate power supply.
I can't think of a genre less unsuited to 'air-control' than a racing game, especially a semi-sim one like Forza. As somebody has already said on another forum, "it's like using a steering wheel, but shitter".
If they do head-tracking with the option of classic controls then they could be...
Haven't tried that, I assume so though. I've given up on single player and just dived head first into multiplayer, aside from being able to win a few cars with pre-installed mods, there isn't actually any benefit to playing through the SP mode first.
I'm still amazed by the sheer insanity and...
Installing is also a good way to prolong the life of the console apparently, a lot less strain on everything once it's all on the HDD. It's also waaaay quieter and load times are a bit quicker.
iirc you just press Y on the bit where you would normally press A to start the game, most games are...
Sticker dead central just below the bonnet line would have looked ok imo.
Veyron looks lardy as hell compared to many of those classic supercars, amazing to think the F1 does 90% of that in a much smaller, lighter package and managed to seat one more passenger.
Yup, it's mental. Played for 3hrs today and every race had at least 17 people racing each time, brilliant stuff. 9 first places in 43 races for me, pretty pleased with that as I'm level 10 and most were 30+.
Game is really well balanced and requires a lot of skill to be finishing in the top 3...
Re: Blur
Is anyone playing this? Would be good to get some CSers added to my friends list so we can ping challenges back and forth and compare leaderboards etc.
Next Tuesday iirc. Odd that a car that nobody has ever requested gets in, yet we are still missing loads of classics, including a massive lack of anything pre-2009.
A Mini Cooper would be perfectly suited to the handling model (as would many other classics, i.e. Lotus Cortina)
