Not really, to be honest. I've never found Silverstone too bad as long as you hunt out the good angles. The Bourdais panning shot - for example - is completely untouched at 320mm. Lots of people say you need 500-600mm, but if you shoot creatively that's not true at all. JamieITR off of here...

Nope, lens has a 105mm front end, I can't afford filters! Looking at £100 a pop or something ridiculous like that. Front tyre on the kerb, rear tyre on the track...that's why it looks compressed.

All the reviews have been full of praise, iirc Autocar were amazed by it. Unfortunately most CS'ers can't see past the looks (I drive an Ignis Sport, btw ;)) Considering we're bound to get at least 1 or 2 more 'revisions' I think it's fair to say Renaultsport have created a monster yet again.

Yup, can say with confidence that gear change, seating position and steering wheel are better than any of my Clios. Love the steering wheel, nice and small and still looks new after 72k.

I do kind of miss them now, might get some black ones and trim them down a bit, see how they look.

Yellow calipers are on the to do list, popping to Halfords later. The flaps aren't going back on though ;)

As has been mentioned, there is no way of getting away from the fact that the Focus is a heavier car. Clio seems to be taking much tighter and more composed lines in the twisty stuff. What is it, at least 200kg heavier? I'm not sure anyone disputed the performance anyhow, the early reviews...

White wing mirror casings is my cheapish suggestion.

Seen a few cars with a serious wiggle on coming out of Quarry and a little way down the straight, usually spin onto the harmless infield though if anything. Very odd, especially as I'm sure Jim would have carried on filming his exit out of Quarry had it looked a bit dicey!

Great catch Jim, nasty crash. Don't ever remember a car going off that far from the exit of Quarry. A few racing incidents heading that way, but certainly not on a track day.
