Just noticed you can see Trulli's helmet/visor in the wing mirror of that large version I posted above. Pretty impressive considering the distance / speed / heat haze.
Not really, to be honest. I've never found Silverstone too bad as long as you hunt out the good angles. The Bourdais panning shot - for example - is completely untouched at 320mm.
Lots of people say you need 500-600mm, but if you shoot creatively that's not true at all. JamieITR off of here...
Nope, lens has a 105mm front end, I can't afford filters! Looking at £100 a pop or something ridiculous like that.
Front tyre on the kerb, rear tyre on the track...that's why it looks compressed.
All the reviews have been full of praise, iirc Autocar were amazed by it. Unfortunately most CS'ers can't see past the looks (I drive an Ignis Sport, btw ;))
Considering we're bound to get at least 1 or 2 more 'revisions' I think it's fair to say Renaultsport have created a monster yet again.
A few shots from my first GP experience. Wasn't intending on taking any pics, but grabbed a few in between standing in awe watching them through Maggots/Becketts and down at Stowe...

Morgan GT3 Supersport for me, sounds like a road-going Spitfire.
Can't find any vids that remotely do it justice though, this one of mine will have to do...

Annoying situation. Fortunately I actually get contacted, but then it often goes wrong from there!
Get asked for a photo to be used in a publication, as I don't charge I usually say yes, as long as I can have a copy of the publication for my portfolio
I've done this 4 times, guess how many...
Yup, can say with confidence that gear change, seating position and steering wheel are better than any of my Clios. Love the steering wheel, nice and small and still looks new after 72k.
I am indeed :) 9am sharp this morning, jacked up, flaps gone. Trying to figure out the stereo now, JVC head unit but the bezel is missing, I have no idea about in-car audio so I'm pretty confused as to what I need :)
Going to stick the Hyundai up for sale, hopefully get a couple of hundred...
Seems to be a good time if you're looking for something fun around £3k. I was spoilt for choice to be honest, even SportKa's fall under that price bracket now, never got to try one but I hear they are a blast to drive (if a little heavy on running costs)
Seems a bit high. I'm 27 as well, live fairly near you and have exactly the same history (no convictions though), I ran a fully comp 172 Cup quote with £100 excess last week and it came out at £270 through Go Compare...if I remember correctly the Post Office and eSure came out top. Ironically my...
Yup, I'd like to personally thank all the haters, it's made for a proper bargain.
As DrRollo says, certainly approaching trackday prices now. The one I went to see in London last week is under £2k now and had 80k on the clock.
I've heard that word an awful lot today!
I was completely torn when deciding which colour to go for, on the one hand it's a ridiculous car made purely to satisfy Suzuki's rally urge, so you may as well go nuts and get the yellow one and to hell with the funny looks...or get a black and and...
I like them very much...
as a bonus (well, some might disagree), they came with this...
Loads of relatively new car for very little money, thrilled to bits with it. Drove from Stoke back to Wiltshire today, MWay munching was way better than expected, but when I...
Bit of an over the top reaction, imo.
The Trophy was keeping silly cars honest through the Welsh mountains long ago, and at that time there was no reason for any publication to 'stage' or promote it unfairly as they had all gone.
The early reviews from almost every publication going have...
As has been mentioned, there is no way of getting away from the fact that the Focus is a heavier car. Clio seems to be taking much tighter and more composed lines in the twisty stuff.
What is it, at least 200kg heavier?
I'm not sure anyone disputed the performance anyhow, the early reviews...
Seen a few cars with a serious wiggle on coming out of Quarry and a little way down the straight, usually spin onto the harmless infield though if anything.
Very odd, especially as I'm sure Jim would have carried on filming his exit out of Quarry had it looked a bit dicey!
Great catch Jim, nasty crash.
Don't ever remember a car going off that far from the exit of Quarry. A few racing incidents heading that way, but certainly not on a track day.
