Is it a silhouette then basically? Apart from the bodyshape I'm assuming there is nothing Focus about it.
Looks amazing though, would love to see it running in the flesh.
I went along as well. Arrived at 8:30 and queued all the way from the A420 (coming from Chippenham), took me 40 minutes to get in and was directed to the overflow car park, despite them then filling the area behind Old Paddock a bit later, very odd. Not sure if the traffic issues were anything...
Also, everyone is missing the point that this particular Megane is (badly) bodykitted. The standard Megane Couple does not look as messy as that, far better lines and much less fussy.
Renault has an official presence in Oz though, so that's a bit different. iirc the 197, 225 and Diesel RS Meg is officially available.
Seen loads of interesting European stuff dotted around in NYC, especially in parts of Brooklyn. Classic Minis are more common than you might think (new ones are...
Quarry will be the best spot without a doubt, forget the busy bit on the actual corner with the fence etc and head a bit further round just before you get to the hill that takes you up onto the banking.
Rubbish pic, but gives you an idea of the location...
Then, if you can zoom out...
Incredible photos, as good as the rig shots are, the Cup one (post #84) is absolute perfection. Nice and simple, great lighting, great background.
In the quest for perfection (because you're nearly there, clearly) can I suggest framing the car centrally in the very first shot. There is more...
Another great review for the 200 (5* in Autocar as well, iirc)...

As always in the early days, CSers bash a belter of a 'new' model from Renaultsport despite them concentrating on the bits that actually matter when you're inside it :)
CAR...
Bit odd seeing my driving instructor absolutely nail a car around the circuit, stunning car control. Just as well considering the monster he built/drives really.
Yep of course, got loads more if any particular drivers are after pics of their cars. Link is http://www.chrisharrison.smugmug.com/gallery/8164558_iogwK if they want to take a look.
Didn't catch any of the rolls myself, was down the other end and just heard/felt the thump as they landed!
Awesome shots Ben, too many great ones to mention, but the Meerkat one above is just brilliant, very amusing.
Football shots are some of the better 'amateur' efforts I've seen to be honest, love the one with the throw in, super sharp and great bokeh. Never tried it myself but assumed it wasn't...
The light FWDs such as the 205s and Ibiza were rapid, the slowest cars were the big heavy Beemers and Japanese stuff. Imprezas were obviously quick but the 4WD Corsa was easily the quickest 'road' car there.
All great to watch though, the big 7 Series was sideways the entire time once up to...
Popped over to Weston-super-Mare on Sunday for the annual Sandocross. Basically several classes of car, from £50 Ebay bangers right up to specially built off-roaders and everything inbetween.
Amazing, anyhow. Considering it was free it was probably one of the best motorsport days out I've...
Been working on some of these again lately, as the last round was quite successful in getting some of my togging noticed after submitting them to a few wallpaper sites.
Thoughts/ideas most welcome, particularly on layout of the images and how that fits with how people organise their desktops...
Gutted for you Alex, but very pleased you walked away from it.
Still remember my trips out in this beast like it was yesterday, heck of an experience.
A few from happier times so people know what this beast looks like (and will again soon, hopefully)
Saw your 100-300 for sale and wondered what was happening. Most of my stuff went a few weeks back (10.5 Fisheye, 50-150 2.8, 50mm 1.8) and although I hated it at the time, you quickly learn to cope without it.
Good time to sell though, as all my equipment was second-hand anyway I actually broke...
Nick has covered everything, but the images you've posted actually look ok for the most part. Take the first one for example, the middle of the car is nice and sharp so technique seems fine, a faster shutter speed will bring more of the car into 'focus' for those types of shot where the car...
It came down to the airfield many years ago, got some shots of it. If I remember correctly it's the same one that sat on the Platinum Renault forecourt in Trowbridge for about 9 months.
Found one of my pics from early 2006...
He made me run for my life at Avon Rise once, can't remember him finishing either. Strange as he ran solidly in the Open Qualification for 11-12 minutes and was going at silly speeds (unrestricted and/or different tyres for that I guess, was doing 1:11s).
His team-mate in the 400bhp Beemer...
