Just got a response from the seller. He says (as i already knew) that the 172 mounts have a different part number. So he suspects that whilst they may look the same they might have a different stiffness/compound. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm in need of a new drivers side engine mount as mine is fubar'd. rang gsf and they dont do them k-tec is £79.35 with delivery renault is £71.78 anyone know of anywhere else? on a side note, does anyone have a picture of where the gearbox speedo sensor actually is on the box, couldnt see it...

Success! Just got back in from fitting and its all gone well. Found in the process that my engine mount is completely fubar'd though! Going to order a new one now. Thanks to anyone that offered advice

hmmm, i slackened off all 4 bolts before and when i jacked the engine the whole car went up. I'll have a punt at the middle bolt this time and see if that works any better cheers for the info.

LOL, yeh i tried the 4 bolts last time i had a go at it, but when i jacked the engine it just seemed to raise the whole car.

Thanks Andy, just to clarify, this is the engine mount bolt i need to pop off in order to raise things up isnt it?

From my first try, you can get at the bolt with a socket but can only turn it one click at a time, would very probably take hours to undo!
