thanks for that man, was well aware of it already and used it to successfully guide me through getting most of the bolts out.
For what i can tell the difficult ones are the bottmo left one here:
and the bolt that is on the side of the engine next to the engine mount. To loosen the engine...
Now that i've actually got the gasket and other little bits I will need, im going to be having another crack at this at some point in the week so i can finally get my exchange manifold back to Mark at jamsport.
I'm fine with getting the top plenum off, but ran into problems with the manifold...
yeh i would have thought that but from reading henks last post it sounds like he wants rich to collect all the payments togeather then make one lump order.
Might be easier and clearer this way - just move your name to the right list, or create a separate list if you're a 'bit different' ;)

the pro kit just allows you to sample data from a wideband lambda sensor iirc.
You can get a custom map if you make changes later at any time you like with the normal kit, you just need to pay the €75 for the map.
EDIT - beaten to it!
Just a quick one, i think i know the answer is no but i just wanted to clarify.
Did ph2 172's ever come in titanium?
I will be after a ph2 rear and some sidestrips in the future but arent sure if they will need to be resprayed or not.
Cheers
Tom
thanks for that man, thats what i was meaning by saying it was double-flanged, a crap description i know!
Thanks once again, i'm going to see if a local zorst place near me could do something similar. They use mandrel bends and its all stainless so i dont suppose it could turn out too bad.
I get this as well. I just simply can not floor it in first or it knocks like a b**ch.
thought it was axle tramp but the tyres cant be that grippy, even does it in the wet which makes me think its not this even more.
Someone must have found the cause / a cure by now
sorry i wasnt massively clear with my last post, what i was meaning was what is different about it when you say its flanged after the arb - how is this possible as presumably it still has to have some sort of attachment at the original point at the end of the downpipe
Right, i had heard of that arrangement, thanks for the advice.
When you say its flanged after the ARB, have you added something onto the original downpipe to extended it beyond the ARB, or is it double-flanged if that makes sense to extend one of the joins back to an easily accesible position?
that does sound rather good.
Had heard the cat placement on the ph1's made the front bolts very difficult to get at. Dont fancy having to mangle my arms every time an mot comes round.
Did you go to an engineering fabricators or a powerflow type place?
Oh s**t! lol just realised who it is.
I was thinking i hadnt posted on here about decats before then it dawned on me!
I'll probably just go down the k-tec route as its the easiest and seemingly best option.
Just wondered if there were any other sellers.
Hope things are well mate
cheers for the advice, was aware that i would need to check that.
What im really after is places to get them from. As mentioned, i only know of k-tec and yozzasport.
will be looking at decatting the 172 in the near future, just wondered what my options were.
Dont want silenced, but it must be for the ph1 172.
Only know of the k-tec offering currently.
I'm aware yozzasport do one but as far as i know it doesnt fit the ph1.
Cheers

My friend had one of these on an escort and it caused him absolutely no end of trouble.
Split on nearly all of the joins on seperate occasions
Avoid imo.
Nice honest review.
My sister has a mk3 138. Had i not personally lifted the bonnet and checked for myself that it was a 2.0 i wouldnt have beleived it. My christ its slow.
I dont know how renualt have done it, but they've made a 2.0 petrol supermini sound and feel like a diesel, but...
Cheers guys, have a few plans
Already got matched inlets waiting to go.
RS tuner
Some colour coding
Entirely undecided on what wheels to go for, or maybe just get the current ones sprayed
oh and coilies!
Had the car a couple of weeks now, really impressed with it, feels much more mature than the valver. Anyway, finally got round to taking a few admittedly rubbish camphone pics today.
Car was bought completely standard except for a longlife hidden stainless system.
Only changes i've made so far...
Working at halfords i know a bit about this.
Tis indeed witchcraft.
Very similar to a standard parrot hands free kit, but with the added bonus of music streaming. Comes with a little bluetooth dongle that plugs into the bottom of the ipod effectively turning your ipod into a bluetooth device...
Just trying to iron out a couple of niggles with my new car.
The speedo needle will 'jump' up to higher speeds when you put your foot down around 50+ mph.
For example, if you accelerate hard, as the speed increases, when your at around 55 the needle will take off and jump to 80 and waver...
