Oh christ i think i've started something.
As mentioned they are on Clio specific Sparco subframes with the sliders that came with the seats.
Oh and yes for the inner harness location i've used the rear subframe mounting point, however the sparco subframes do come with an additional bar which...
They are a really comfy seat, I think its my seating position which makes them less so for me to be honest, i tend to slump in the seat a lot if that makes sense, which in these seats means my arse sits in the join between in the cushions, which after about 2 hours or so sent my bum slightly...
Cheers guys. They are Autostyle BS1's.
Just come back from my first proper drive with them. Through the twisties they are fantastic, you actually feel part of the car rather than just being in/on it.
However my arse now hurts. A lot. And because im a short arse the seating position is a...
I've been after some new seats for a very long time. After getting hold of some new sparco subframes then picking up some sparco harnesses i finally got my hands on a nice new pair of fixed buckets complete with sliders.
Got them in last night. They're hugely comfortable and the lack of...
Pulled out of sainsburys behind you and sat at the lights behind for a short period until you turned off up to town. About 3pm
Im almost certain you went past me again in Calverly at about 8:20 as i was coming home from work but it was dark so you wouldnt have seen me.
I want a trophy. That...
I lol'd
@ alan11 - that sounds kind of different to the problem im having. Yours fires albeit brefly which to me suggests its more an immobiliser problem. Mine does absolutely nothing when you turn the key right round.
Drove back from work fine. Came in, left the car 10 mins then went out to move it so dad could get his car off the drive and my car wouldnt start at all.
Turn the key to the 2nd stage of the ignition, and you can hear the fuel pump working, and the immobiliser light goes out but turn the key...
thank you guys, your quite right.
Now that is established then, how do i go about turning the clock up a little bit if it just reverts back to the basic power saving numbers whenever i try tweak things?
I've had my system a while now and im very happy with it.
One thing ive never got to the bottom of though is the speed of my CPU.
I've got an AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition, which should be running at 2.6Ghz standard. When looking at CPU-Z however, i get given this:
And thats the same...
If your look at the engine from the front of the car, go to where the throttle body is and move left a bit! Its attached to the back of the manifold, has a multiplug on the top and the pipe from the induction bend going to it.
Cheers mate, got a new one through pages yesterday. £40.
The problem i had though was that you only get the top half of the valve, so you have to drill out the rivets on the old one and then re-attach the new one. Not easy when the rivets are hardened stainless and they dont give you any nuts...
Was out today taking my friend to a garage to pick up his car about 50 miles away.
About 40 miles into the journey after a lot of motorway work, traffic backed up on an a-road to the point where i had to almost stopped.
Naturally, i dipped the clutch but then realised the engine had stalled...
Cheers guys.
To answer a couple of questions, i got them from german ebay. Cups are still relatively rare in the uk so on our ebay they are fairly pricey. In germany they are pretty common so dont sell for nearly as much money.
I think it worked out at around £190 delivered from Germany...
Thanks for that Tom.
Had a quick look on dialogys and they are £115 the pair with VAT. Do you know if those will come with the bearings pressed though? Quite hard to tell from dialogys
When changing the rear discs on a ph1 172, do the new discs have to have a new bearing in them?
On my old valver the bearing was part of the disc, not sure what the setup on the 172 is though.
If they are indeed part of the disc, is it easy enough to reuse the old bearing/abs ring from the...
LOL wondered how long it would be for the CS sheep Nazis to wade in to this.
a filter/airbox/IK is NEVER going to give you any noticable gains, certainly not on the F4R. Even if you spend silly money your going to see possibly 2 maybe 3bhp? Try feeling that in the real world.
As for this...
Had PE2's on the car when i got it and hated them.
Much prefer the yoko paradas i have on my cups. Grip in the dry is awesome, just a little suspect in the wet when they have a few thousand miles on them.
The yokos have just about past it so for the sake of budget i've gone for some Proxies...
