My comfy 182 track day / Sprint car

Careful with the wheel change. There's a lad on here who failed his MOT because of the replacement wheel. "Car not modified enough to be considered a track car and should therefore have it's airbag" or some such b*ll*cks iirc

A video of your instrument cluster, with an overlay of the same instruments? Would it not make sense to have the camera pointing somewhere else?

10 Things You Didn't Know About The Clio 182

the clutch is a bit. I only ever notice when I drive something else though. The steering certainly isn't heavy though

    Phone in washing machine

I work with a lot of electronics for defence, stuff goes in the oven all the time as part of various processes and tests. Ideally, you'd use a vacuum oven but most houses dont seem to come equipped with those strangely. Last thing like this I did was to put my SLR plus lens in the oven to dry...

    182 Rear Wiper is Slow?

Nice one, might as well check that first. Odd that it still half-worked with a dodgy fuse

    Phone in washing machine

The impatient option is to put it in the oven for a few hours at 70C. Although this can horribly backfire if someone decides to use the oven to cook their dinner

    182 Rear Wiper is Slow?

Good point. Looks like a 2nd hand motor and a new arm will come to around £20, so might just save some hassle and butcher the old one

    182 Rear Wiper is Slow?

ten day bump, as I'm having the same issue. Probably just going to get hold of another motor, but would be good to hear if anyone else has had the same issue

BTCC Super Tourers Make A Return (sort of)

I'm struggling to resist posting photos of every car I'd hope to see there! I grew up watching BTCC, my Dad was mates with Will Hoy (RIP) so we always got given some tickets for Knockhill each season. I still remember a young lad getting on the bus down to the car parks at Powmill with a Honda...

BTCC Super Tourers Make A Return (sort of)

There's something a bit wrong when the support race will definitely be better than the main one........... but in reality I couldn't give a f**k cause the super touring days were awesome! Because I'll take any excuse:

Might be worth getting a photo of the interior without the seat cover, just to show that it's not shagged.

    200T Finally Arrives

You would expect so in 10 years though. I'm not a fan of the new one, maybe after a mid-life facelift?

    Leaking Headlight Washer

I went for colour-coded insulating tape instead :) just a tad ghetto, and now looks really scabby, but it was good enough for the MOT man!

    Heated wing mirror(s)

Really? Lucky f**ker, mine have been iced up 3 times just this week! Also, just to buck the trend its only my passenger side one that works

    insurance question ????

Any insurance company will adjust their quote to suit mileage (mine's set at 6,000). Still worth going through all the usual channels, the difference with the likes of Greenlight is that they'll also do a guaranteed mileage policy where you need to prove your mileage - potentially making it even...

    Confused at lighter socket!

I bought one of those of eBay a while back - it was blatantly fake! Bloody thing smelled like it was about to combust whenever I used it. Saw the genuine thing in Halfords and the penny dropped. Was yours a bit cheap by any chance?

    wet carpet

hhmmmm will try tomorrow if i'm near the car in daylight. Basically though, you know the big, fat, black door seal? It's not a continuous loop and it's not specially shaped for the door, so you can move the beginning/end to whenever you need. Taking the seal off and moving the beginning/end to...

    wet carpet

My leak was from the passenger door seal, for some reason it wasn't draining properly despite everything being clear. All I had to do to fix/stop it was move the join in the seal down do that area. Been fine since and takes 2mins to do so worth a shot
