Valvers arent too bad really given their age etc but if your in that kind of budget maybe have a look at a 200SX S13. I picked mine up for £550 and it has been endless fun since, if your looking at a fast car for that budget though expect it to go wrong imo, old cars have faults you need to be...
I'm currently painting my wheels in satin black so I want to try and protect them a little bit using some laquer or clear coat, the problem is I only have gloss laquer and when I used it on matt paint it looked absolutely pants. Can any-one recommend a clear coat to use on Satin Black without...
If you warm the rattle can of paint up in some hot water for about 2 mins before you paint it seems to go on the surface a lot better, its worked for me before and i've not had the orange peel effect.
Its not about not understanding it, the stickers look pants as they are just a bunch of half assed coined phrases about loud sound systems. Rat look cars look cool if done properly...
I've considered keeping the CA but to make me trust it I want it rebuilt with braided feeds for the turbo and a new turbo pref on roller bearings to try and keep the lag down. With all that its not a cheap job and for similar money I may be able to get a V8 producing similar power but in a...
The escort looks nice ;) I'm not a huge fan of SXOC, it seems that if you dont know your car inside and out then your not good enough to be on there or something heh, rules me out completely
I want to get away from turbo however I want some power. Also, instant torque ftw. An RB would be an ok conversion but it would still be a turbo so it will still theoretically be as temperamental as the CA just with more expensive replacement parts. The same goes for a 1/2JZ. With a V8 its nice...
Hmmm, I guess we'll have to see. The downside is it'll be a used engine but the upside is it'll be an n/a toyota engine so it should be reliable. It will be more reliable than my CA18 is and than the reports of CA18s on SXOC so imo well worth it. The biggest cost will be the fabricated parts and...
I'm guessing around £2-2.5k for parts this is based on prices of the actual parts and guestimating the cost of any fabricated parts. This will probably wind up doubling as most project budgets do but if thats right then it works out really well as that would be around 300hp so would still be...
