Bland? Lol... Nah, it isn't. Nice cars. Had one try and play with me once whilst i was out on the bike, which was a bit silly of him lol. Pretty quick tbf though.
Cheers again folks. Yea, a z3/z4, s2k or a Boxster would be nice (preferably the s2k) but i simply haven't got that money - so the only option was an mx5 and if i was having one it had to be a mk1 :)
Made a little more progress - i've fitted a new indicator/sidelight the other night as mine was...
Cheers both. Problem for me is i have nowhere near enough funds for a z4 or Boxster! Haha. Wish i had that sort of money! Loving it today with the roof down though ;)
Hell no, screw the Porsche. Bar the TT i'd imagine that's the most boring one there to drive. Of course a TVR is anything but haha!
EDIT: Not saying it'll be boring btw, just far more fun stuff there.
That's exactly what i was like. They're becoming popular and seeing more builds was just egging me on!
Took these tonight so thought i'd whack them in the thread :)

Haha! Like i said, i knew not everyone would approve :) Had a check tonight and the cambelt and water pump have already been done. The belt has the white writing on very clear and looks perfect, water pump is a brand spanker too. So i'll get my money back on the one's i've already bought lol...
Hmm, i definitely don't consider it a chore lol. But thanks for the feedback people.
And i know you don't approve Paul :rasp: But it's honestly made me a lot happier owning it. The Flamer was a really nice car but i just couldn't click with it.
Took it a spin tonight now it's lowered and it...
Reliability wise they seem sound. Reading about on forums, my work mates old one and based on how many my Dad get's in at work (hardly any) they're very reliable things. The main issue with them is just rust/rot lol.
Like i said though, take one a spin and make your mind up :)
At 2k you will pick up a good car if you look hard. Sold my Flamer for only a little more than that and you won't find anything much tidier than that. But i agree with Revels, don't aim for a certain one - aim for as good a condition Clio as you can get.
As said though, why not fix the mx5?
PM'd :) The daily bit was worrying me too - but tbf i use it to go to work which is a 5 minute drive and then i go the gym 3 times a week. That's pretty much all my car does apart from the odd car meet/show or whatever. So i bit the bullet. It's had a new roof so it doesn't leak either.
It's...
Thanks for the comments people.
The 1.6 is slow, it's not awful but it definitely isn't quick. It doesn't really bother me though. I ride bikes so all cars feel slow tbh lol.
The mudflaps, i'm not sure yet. They do an awesome job of keeping it clean :rasp: Plus they wouldn't be coming off...
Haha, i know! Need to lose the mirrors, get my wheels, sort a better front plate out etc. But it's a solid shell, which is the most important bit. Got a good base to work from :)
And thanks!
A few folks have told me to put some pics up of the new motor so i thought i'd whack a thread up for it.
Sold the Flamer to a lad on here abooout 3 or 4 week ago now. As soon as he'd took it i went and picked this up.
In a nut shell it's slower, older and the brakes are pants until you get...
