I agree, plenty of chav's around here with them. However, i'm hoping being as it looks reasonably standard and extremely clean that it looks more like a well cared for Coupe than a chav wagon?
Me neither normally. But i needed something better on fuel than my 330 (ignore the Polo i owned in between that and this) and i wanted something bigger than the Polo lol.
This has just clocked over onto 68k miles, is now mint, has plenty of history, didn't cost very much at all and is reasonably...
A lot of people dislike the 2.2 due to timing chain issues apparently. Hence i avoided them lol.
They handle alright for what they are imo, the 1.8 like mine isn't all that pokey though - it's alright but not thrilling at all. A Turbo i can imagine would be fun but i didn't want to run into...
So as i posted a couple of month back or so i bought an Astra Coupe.
No, it's not to everyone's taste. No, it's not my usual choice in cars but it does it's job that i bought it for and tbh i reckon it looks pretty smart.
I got it back from the bodyshop the other week and now it's had a bit...
You posted pictures of a modified C1 and expected positive comments? A standard one wouldn't get positive comments but a modified one is even less likely to.
Fair enough, they're decent-ish as cheap runabouts... But you can't expect everyone to like it. A lot of people speak their mind on the...
I think some people are missing the point here?
Rota might copy other designs, but they don't go writing Volk TE37 on their wheels etc. They never have been fraudulent about it, everybody has always known if you buy Rota's you're not getting Volks.
And whilst their wheels might not be up to the...
They do look quite smart but as above, stupid prices for what they are... £3800 for a 2001, 70k, small hatch?! Madness. Glad you're happy with it though!
That's fair enough... I guess when you look at any sort of 'crossover' as they're calling them now according to Top Gear the height of them just makes you think it's bigger in other directions too.
Yet somebody might pick pre-registered over new... So why wouldn't you be able to compare it? If i was getting just as decent a car with a few thousand miles on for a couple of grand or so less i'd go with the older one.
If it's an option then ofcourse you can compare.
I don't like it, but that's me. I'm struggling to understand why you need something like that if you have a kid on the way? Surely there's a decent saloon out there or something that could do the job equally as well?
Just my opinion anyway, if you like it fair enough!
Another guy on here got full on abused for having 32's... Find it funny how you haven't been :S
Either way, it looks very smart. They're brilliant cars, miss mine!
As said, reliability isn't that big an issue with them. My Uncle had one and it was fine - typical of people just hearing a few horror stories and making a huge deal about it.
Drove my Uncle's too, looooovely car. Epic. Nice purchase.
I'm with Daniel on this, stock form i think they look s**t. However this is quite smart with what you've done - although the colour i'm not sure on!
I'd lose that GT86 badge on the rear too, why the hell did they make it so big!?
Thought i'd throw this in... It's my Dad's friends. Steel bodykit which was hand crafted for this car yeeeeears ago. My Dad took it to the Thoresby Jap & Ford Show last year for him...
Agree with the person saying the creator of that is probably a virgin.
Does the exhaust suit the car? Yes - win. No - fail.
No need for this b****cks lol.
I've sold the z750 now, due to trying to get my own place. The plan is though to get a cheaper bike and the only one that takes my fancy is another Monster. So hopefully by this time next year i'll be posting pics for you.
Similar thing happened local to us, one of the 'race spots' that appear occasionally and a BMW E30 lost control on a roundabout hitting about a dozen people.
Some awesome looking machines there... Got to love the look of the side valve engines!
My next bike is going to be a cafe racered Ducati Monster, 100%!
