Yet another person thinking of the TSW Venom days... Car looks smart on them! I'm still not a massive GTR fan but i can respect they're a good machine!
I'm not saying literally everybody liked this sort of thing, but if you went to shows it was full of this.
This isn't really my cup of tea either but it does make me laugh how a large amount of people just follow trends.
None luckily lol. It's still up for sale atm. Sick of people offering swaps.
Yes, felt a fair bit smaller. Also for 'German build quality' it wasn't really that great. I honestly think my 172 was built just as well.
Yea, i didn't expect everyone to like it. This forum pretty much pulls apart...
It's quite funny how 10 years ago this was all the rage... Now stretch and camber is everybody slates stuff like this. Give it a few more year and everybody will slate stretch and camber too.
Sheep, just saying.
Tempted to race a Porsche in a 1.2 Clio? New one to me, that...
But yea, my mrs has just passed her test and we kept having problems with dickheads sitting bumper to bumper behind her. Some thoughtless pricks out there.
Perfectly fine, not everyone can like the same things.
Turbo is a no no. The idea is to save money for my own place, a Turbo would hinder that. 2.2's are awful engines too so that left me with the 1.8!
Thanks. Yea, the rest of the paint is pretty good. Could still do with a machine polish though to get rid of some swirls! Something i'll do once it's been to the body shop!
They do a 2ltr Turbo, a 2.2 N/A and the 1.8 N/A like this!
Turns out quite a few people are, i've had a lot of compliments on it since picking it up! I've never been a huge fan, i didn't mind them but never wanted one. It was purely a case of it ticking all the boxes.
Edition 100's are relatively. 1000 made to commemorate 100 years of Vauxhall...
So i bought this instead. 53 plate 1.8 16v Astra Coupe Edition 100. Which basically means heated leather and Centenary Blue paint, it would also have had BBS wheels standard although i'm not a fan of them anyway! These wheels are Omega MV6's and look great imo.
Basically the Polo was just too...
Tbh, the mods he's done so far are pretty much what a lot of the BMW forum guys love.
I wouldn't say it looks awful tbf, not what i'd choose to do, but there's far worse out there!
Probably more than you'd first think. I thought about one at one point then when i realised you're looking 3k for not the tidiest example i backed out lol.
It is the best rep i've seen tbf. Remember seeing it at FCS a few years back.
Of course there will be haters but hat's off to the guy. If it drove past you you'd be forgiven for thinking it was the real thing.
Flol at the Cup spoiler comment... I wanted to go to this but the mrs has started working weekends and all my mates buggered off to Performance Vauxhall.
Think people need to read threads before thinking they're clever having a pop at Charlie. Yes, it was there and it was reasonably low.
Not aimed at Dave there, he'd posted that before we had proof lol.
My point was that this is a show for show cars. If i went to CS Saturday/FCS i'd literally get so bored of the cars, the french scene doesn't really have a show scene at all. Whilst you could say the Dub scene is a little repetitive the quality of the work is extremely high on most of the cars...
My point was different people like different things, yet to listen to CS it's as if it should be law to fit Turinis and a Cup spoiler to anything. It's the most ignorant forum i use when it comes to car styling...
When i said different wheels i meant more than one set wheel, ie. Turinis lol. I...
Whilst i would never own a car which is as low and stretched as these it's better than looking around at a load of Clio's on Turinis. At least these actually go to more effort with re-trims, engine conversion and bay smoothing etc. Not just all fit the same exhaust, same wheels in the same...
