It's awesome as a cheap daily, my ~£70 per week from the 330 has turned into £30 per week. Can't grumble at that!
Just need to sort that front number plate too!
So, i thought i'd post a few better pictures up of the Polo now it's had a quick polish (nothing fancy, i'll detail it in a few weeks)... I've still yet to raise it - was going to do it this weekend but with it being bank holiday and the weather being good i went out on the motorbike instead...
Yea, I'd read about the boxes but this one feels really good and isn't making any incorrect noises etc!
As said, plans to raise it - probably get round to it Saturday!
Yea, 1.6 16v - 125bhp (so VW claim)
Very different lol... But it's a lot more fun. The Beemer was a lovely cruiser, couldn't fault it one bit (minus being heavy on fuel) but so far this seems a lot more fun.
So basically, i'm trying to move out the parents and get my own place - running a 330 is expensive at the best of times, let alone when getting your own place so i decided to downgrade. I still wanted something fun but it needed to be cheaper to buy and run. Stumbled across this and decided to...
Never have and never will see why people love these so much... Just big, expensive, unreliable barges imo.
Hope you have better luck than most though... Enjoy it if it's what you want!
I'm gonna be blunt... The wheels look s**t. The only reason anybody on here likes them is because they bum OEM and are big into their Renaults, anyone else would tell you they look s**t - and they'd be right.
The car looks tidy, so credit to you there, definitely... But Turinis are generally...
I like the idea of the retro type spoiler... But newer Porsche's just don't do much for me. Maybe driving one would change my mind but to look at i think they're a tad - lacking. I was going to say dull but maybe not quite that bad.
Some nice cars there... Funny how that f40 attracts so much attention, i went to a car meet last night - mainly classics - and in the middle there was this 430 and literally no body looked at it. It just seemed boring.
Shows how special stuff like the f40 are in comparison to some of the newer...
Clearly people see the name TSW and still think of Venoms... These wheels aren't anything like that.
As for the GTR, i can never make my mind up on them. Personally, i don't think they look that great, bit awkward looking imo. I have no doubt it's amazing to drive and seriously fast either but...
What i meant was more, usually people do bite. And then one person in particular posted, imo, an unnecessary post about him fitting right in with a stereotype... No need for people to be dicks if the lads being decent enough...
Although i agree £1200 is pricey... Your forgetting the time that's been put into developing the software. Plus the cost of the computers that plug into the cars etc.
Tbf a few people are dishing some abuse yet he's not biting, just takes it on the chin. Fair play to the lad. Some of the older members could learn from him regards that.
Same again for me really, not my thing but it's not my car... Enjoy!
Worlds most awful pictures aren't helping matters... But i'd be going straight back and complaining looking at them - this is why you don't trust someone to pick your wheels up after being painted. You need to make sure YOU'RE happy with them on collection.
I got my mk1 Clio painted for £100... Was a perfect job too. Helps when you know the right people!
I actually thought it was LY in the second pic lol.
The Mazda looked a lot nicer... I think this looks a bit too - base spec. If i was me i'd be whacking an Anni kit or r32 kit on it, change of colour and lose the red on the wheels.
It is smart, but compared to the Mazda it just seems a bit dull?
