Thanks guys. I must admit I was hoping for a little more than that. Glass' valuation reckons that it would cost approx £3000 to buy privately and £3600 from an independant dealer (£4k from a franchise), and since the purpose of insurance is supposed to enable you to buy a car of similar type...
