horrible noise as he went for a gear at the end the the straight before turn 1, Bit of a guess until i get to pull it apart but it looked like going for 5th and getting 3rd (or 4th/2nd, not sure) causing a massive over rev. There's no compression on cranking anyhow. Literally a slung in spare...
1st in class 6th on track in race 1. Made a couple of imprezas look slow. Ian in the black Clio was pushing hard but had a moment with a curb which gave Tony some breathing room. Next........
I would quite like lock screen notifications actually, it's definitely possible as my HTC sensation xe had it , I've just not worked out the best way to replicate it. To be honest I've just got used to using the swipe down notification dock, it's tidy really.
different dyno, different method of measuring/applying losses, so shape of curve can be a little bit different. I've aimed at making it as close to SRR as possible here though.
I'm more than happy to be honest, as i said, unusually good result :)
you weren't far off Pete!!
Bearing in mind most of the time a 438'd car will make ~192bhp and 157-160lb/ft here, this is an exceptional one
I actually didn't believe the first run, so I went back for another go after 10 minutes of letting it sit and cool, and it dropped a little, but not much
you can squeeze them in a vice if you're careful not to go too far, just get them moving slightly, do not just go as far as you can or you will break springs inside the lifter.
Cranking the engine over with injectors and coil unplugged will do enough to re-prime them if you get oil pressure up...

I personally wouldn't go anywhere near them as they're a pain in the arse. Even getting trumpets for them is a massive problem, let alone balancing them right, and making them work well
Take stamps with a pinch of salt. Seen a very fraudulent service book recently, all stamped up by a former trader (now using different trading name). Stamps from 2 years before they existed
sounds like the dephaser has got clagged up with old oil while it's been standing. if you get it hot a few times, and change the oil again fairly soon it might clean itself out if you're lucky
the high pressure line is NOT the reservoir.
It depenfs where on the pipe it has burst. If it's right by the pump you may be able to change the short section of hard pipe for about £50. If it's on the main section, it's a big and awkward job as the pipe runs around the gearbox and it attached...
Well 2 out of 3 bits turned up. The 2 non essential ones......sigh.
Still, this means I can spend more time getting the fresh engine absolutely perfect rather than rushing to put it together.
I found out today that the pistons which i was told were in stock in the UK, have actually been out...
