    factory fit half the time. Every single one has the white/beige stuff in the strainer. That's had a fair bit more than necessary used though

    5w30 is ok for cold climates, so you'll be ok for the winter. You'll want a 5w40 in there if it ever warms up

    Head was in the oven at about 4pm so the new guides can be pressed in. Exhaust side was SLOPPPYYYYYYY! First thing engineer said when I took it in was "I don't know how these don't knock the heads off the valves with play like that" My reply: "They DO!!"

    if you choose the right profile, then they do work very well yes. "A must" is debateable, it depends what you want from the car
