have finally done a bit more, working round the weather is a mare, and also getting time off work! have managed to fit coilies, 195/45/16 yoko s drives, powerflex bushes, ordered strut braces and got a steering wheel boss! looks a million times better now its lower, just waiting for a few more...
hey guys am undecided as of what to do, want some new wheels but cant decide on 15's or 16's. only problem i've got is the tyre size on 15's, as 195/50's can look a bit "balloony" imo! help would be appreciated guys! thanks!
it can be handy if you are just poodling around and the unexpected happens, but does make a bit of difference having a bit of a roar with it off! lets you explore your limits a lot more imo.
100% agree with you, i had the astra coupe turbo, stupid fast in a straight line (courtenay fettled;))but i couldnt make it handle! great engines, and overall good cars! mates got one hovering around 300bhp atm, absolutely flies, but i would rather have the clio because twisties in that thing...
i am being a lazy feck atm, car is minging dirty, coilovers and bushes just sitting in my room need to get them on:(should hopefully be on this week and have a clean at some point, so will get a few pics and show off the nice new carbon diamonds(thanks tonyt)as well! and it made 183 bhp atf...
will second the motul stuff, sell tons of it to the jap tuner boys! awesomely high boiling point as well, didnt actually realise the spec of the stuff until i read the spec sheet!!!
update - after renault pulling my pants down over my cv joint (only a shaft no cv seperately, £200 quid!!!), have gaz coilovers waiting to go on, and am going to jam-sport saturday to get my inlets matched and get the car re-mapped! will let you know the outcome! and have also bought a corbeau...
if its done properly its where a lot of power can be gained. from experiences in the past with escort turbos/205mi's of my friends can make monumental differences! but on its own its not something that gets mega power, its all in conjunction with other mods, eg. my old 106 quiksilver gained...
honestly aint got a clue i wasnt there at that point, car was on my mates ramp next door while i was at work! he was doing all the work, i was going round every so often to have a look!
problem solved, no one aftermarket makes the joint seperately, and if your lucky enough to have one with cup packs renault only:(means my trip to get the car re-mapped and inlets matched is off until saturday! gay!
black wheels look great! lover of all things carbon, waiting to get a day off from work to get my rear badge on :( front one looks ace, big up to tonyt!
dont suppose anyone knows if they are produced as a patent part? tried fitting mine today as old one is fubar, but was supplied with the wrong one. looked up in all catalogues i have at work and the one i was given is the only p/no. listed for a 2.0 16v, but being a 182 (with cup packs) cant...
hi guys maybe a stupid question but is there anyway of taking apart standard 182 headlights? as in removing the plastic front cover from the backing, as done when de-tangoeing fiesta zetec s's? cheers!
you do get the cable mate, its an add on that plugs into the usb lead on the back of the unit to an ipod connector! i've got the x-100 as well, its awesome, my opinion was if i have an ipod i dont need cd's:)
hello all just wondering if anyone has got the part numbers / measurements for the lower engine mounts for an 05 plate 182, have seen them on ebay and k-tec, but i deal direct with powerflex through work so alot easier for me to get them here! thanks guys!
my 182 tries to go away from you in 1st but as soon as it hits 2nd its not anywhere near as bad, but i was used to keeping a boat of an astra turbo with 252 bhp in a straight line, that was fun!
got a janspeed system with the decat on mine, is louder but only when you're pushing hard! decat's let the car rev more freely, whereas a sports cat holds the revs back still, but apparently gives more topend torque. and changing it, like said, is a simple job and you only have to do it once a...
