Just an update if anyone is interested. Been on a couple of months. Excellent gear change but finding that the rattle on idle is slightly more than when first put on. I don't mind it tho but if you do it's something to think about. Mike

No not the dust cover the bit that stops metal on metal at the bottom of the shock. Or is it supposed to be metal on metal?

Ta. What is the exact name for the rubber shock protector above the shock.

Good Morning, I am changing back to 172cup fronts with cooksports and was looking to find a full breakdown of what was needed. Does anyone have a diagram or a breakdown from bottom to top of all components needed? I have been searching the web (and here) for guides but nothing has come up...

Oh dear mate. I have bought the 172cup shocks and have the 182 shocks on the rear (I believe that some say the tears are the same as the 172's) I am heading the other way- from budget coilovers to springs as I didn't rate the coilovers any better than the 91k suspension that was on the dear...

I am using Easter. RenaultWolverhapton has sorted me out with the fronts and I have 500 miles on the backs already so looking forward to this after some "shocking" coilovers. Had them out and the question is- front shocks. Does the wider end of the spring go at the top or bottom?

They came. I had a tracking number but in my head I had that confused with some shirts I was buying that were going to be delivered today!

Ordered them on Sunday chap. Just a little worried with it being a short week this and next. Not the end of the world but will have plenty of time over the 4 day weekend to fit. Fingers crossed they come today. :)

Anyone know if cooksport are quick on the delivery front? I have emailed but want them before the long weekend if possible.

Google a code for them or use that Alfa code that I did. I think it ended up at 22quid delivered. They are coming from Poland so expect about a week.

I haven't noticed. I had the Mrs in the car and didn't drive very spiritedly on the way back. I had just put coilovers on that I need to adjust on the weekend before I take her out for some Sunday driving. I will update.

Hi Steve. Fitted them on Sunday and drove 150 miles back home. Really has made a difference to the gear change. Best way of describing it is it feels a bit more meatier and less flimsy really. Really easy to fit. Took about 20 mins.
