That's exactly how mine looks. Seems like ours is fan less or just a smaller fan but I'm guess still functions in the same way? Might be a 172 and 182 thing and the other Clios have the other type climate control sensor?
Care to take a picture because my climate control sensor doesn't look like the one in that DIY thread (the one I think you my be talking about). I just assumed there were different designs
Well if you lived near me I would happily buzz it off but going to guess that you live a fair distance away.
Like others have said a garage will undo it for you if you don't want to buy and impact wrench
Could get this as its so cheap and handy

or this is the one that I own

Both will easily remove the top mount
Yeah not a huge amount but you can see it and it goes once the exhaust system is warmed up. I'm not loosing any coolant etc either so I know it isn't a HG issue on my car
The sweet smell however is odd. Never get that
When you spin the brake disc (wheel, pads and caliper etc off) should there be a ruff type noise or silky smooth? Mine sounds a bit ruff so was just wondering if I could do with a new one
Well that's fair enough and that's interesting to know its not that bad a ride then. I know its not the same but on my old 1.2 it had apex shocks and springs and it was such a hard ride although was awesome on bends so I just imagined a low/slammed car would be worse
If I'm honest I don't...
Maybe I'm old as well, it just looks like broken suspension to me too and not a style I like but I accept everyone has their own taste and if it floats your boat then so be it :)
Would the ride not be as crashy as hell?
They should check it if you ever take it in for a service etc. The catch is only an issue if its sticky or not lubed up enough and the spring doesnt close properly when you close the bonnet.
When I got my Clio the first thing I did was take the bonnect catch off and clean it and lube it. If you...

If you are with Aviva then there is no way they would have insured you anyway. I was declined cover when I was 24 as I was told by them you have to be 25 to insure a 1*2 with then
When I got my 182 (used to drive a 1.2 clio) my left foot would always go numb if I was in traffic from the constant clutch use but now a fair few months on that is no longer an issue. Also feel like my left leg could smash a brick in half from the work out
That's good :) I knew it just needed a bit of t-cut to bring the shine out on it. There was really nothing wrong with that exhaust at all, just me fancying something different. Ah right, is it blowing hot or cold at you all the time then? How long have you managed to put up with that?
Yeah...
Yeah saw a black 182 with gold alloys and also a silver one as well. Did you see what alloys the AB 182 had or was it a passing glance sort of thing?
Yeah its (touch wood) been running great thanks. What about yours and the wife's car? Take it the exhaust it still going well too?
I went to machine mart this afternoon which I think is near that road? Most likely wasnt me though. Must say saw a few sports myself, seems like Norwich has a fair few shooting around
If it was me I would have made sure the sensor was clean and check the wires for damage etc. If it seemed fine I would clear the light and then see if it returned and if it did then go about replacing the sensor
Yeah sorry meant emissions light. Same one that you had was lit
Well I thought I would try the petrol thing first but if it comes back or the car starts to act up I will then look at the sensors
I got an engine management light come on a couple days later when I filled up with total 95 fuel (think it came on when I started the car). Plugged the code reader in and it was a P0130 02 sensor blank 1 error. Since the car seemed to be running normal to me I cleared it to see if it returned...
Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
Got to say I used to hate the look of the ph1 Clios but since joining this forum I have grown to really like them. Definitely think your red one was lovely and a shame it is no longer in one piece :(, aslo think Lewis' old white ph1 Clio was a beauty as well!
Cars...

Link to your project thread :) was rather funny some of the comments in there
Cars looking great though and seems to be well looked after!
Was next to you at the round about lights today (Near Tesco) and got to say those alloys look spot on to me on your car. I know it doesn’t mean much but they get my approval :D
