instead of amping the 6x9s amp the fronts and either remove the 6x9s or run them from the HU. You'll find it sounds a lot better ;) Nice work with the paintin dude.
Can any painters on here give me some tips on paint blending? I understand you try and blend it by overspraying onto the old paintwork so it looks like the new paint is blended to the old paint? But I have no idea really...
Ed your welcome to hop in my car for the parade lap mate.

Little update, I decided that the aerial was the next eye sore to get rid of, so I unbolted it and took it out and got to work on removing the hole it left. Learning from previous mistakes it was clear that fibreglass over the top of the hole isn't a great idea so I decided to fix an aluminium...
I miss my 197 oh so so much! I'll admit that in a straight line its quick but there are many quicker cars, however throw in a nice B road and there are few cars that'll be as fun and that you can put so much faith in. I took my 197 over snake pass and was smiling from ear to ear all the way...
I know exactly how you feel hun, I had to give my 197 back not so long ago and I'm also planning on saving some pennies for a 172 in the future :D Atleast you have something to drive about in still and from what I remember of my old escort they are slow, ugly but comfie as f*ck. Mine was like...
Given the spirit of the parade if any-one doesn't act accordingly there will be consequences, rest assured this is not about hooning around on track this is all about paying tribute to Dan.
Cheers mate, appreciated :)
The owner of Dans R27 is selling the car, I have contacted him and asked him...
No I dont see it being an issue, just for me I dont think theres gonna be a nissan stand. However Im hoping I can jump in some-one elses car on the way round for the parade lap, we shall see.
Haha, its all a learning curve. The hammerite was an experiment, to be rectified from thursday when I can go and buy some more 'products'. Hang fire the end result 'should' be ok :D Chris, i am possibly the only person alive who would make paintwork worse with a PC, dunno if you saw my 197 up...
I'd love to join the parade lap but I have a ricer so cant make it inside the club areas. I would say if any Cliosport member is on a different stand this year at FCS who wants to take part in the parade lap please still go and see Sash in the marquee, she will have the final say but I'd hope...
I didn't make the post to say that yank tanks aren't fast, they are! but generally, they dont handle particularly well. There are a couple to maybe a hanfull of exceptions eg the vette and the ACR and I think they have a Cadilac which has pretty good handling aswell but not 100% sure. The point...

your supposed to put a wink or a smiley at the end so we think your just joking and you dont get in trouble...
I'd love a hemi, but I'd never dilude myself into thinking it was an amazing car heh, I've seen Hammonds stories about his charger with boat handling and no brakes. Still want!
I think it was a top fuel or top alcohol dragster, so defo not for roads or corners :D
The guy has some equally dumb comments aswell, I'm fighting temptation to tear apart the video in the comments section...
Now I love a good V8 yank tank purely for the noise they make and instant torque, but if I wanted to go stupid fast on a reasonable budget I'd be looking to a rice rocket. Obv this is a big thing in america land and some of the yank tank owners are lashing out, with videos like this detailing...
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
A friend has put 3 cars through auction with sawdust to 'help' and the cars are still rattling around 8 months later, I think its a genuine fix tbh. Unlucky Jord mate, but atleast the hybrids nearly roadworthy so the timings could have been worse
