Sounds like a great day out - especially with all the work you've done yourself. I quite like a lot of those photos and like you say, the sentimental attachment to them being from the cars' first day out, will add something.
When you mention it has a Meg engine - is it boosted further than OEM...
These tempt me too - one in that colour passes by our work and even trundling along, it sounds decent.
The ones I'd stay clear of are the OTT types. One in blue was sat in traffic behind me at the weekend with the most ridiculous pop & bang setup going on. An occasional crack from the exhaust...
Yep - as others, it’s night and day difference between a decent monitor and a TV.
It’s particularly noticeable when you’re playing fast-paced games like FPSs or racing games. Not so much with RTSs and the like...
Descent was brilliant in its day. Despite having three dimensional movement, it was surprisingly easy to pilot.
Still keeping my eye on that recent Battletech release. I love that genre and I hope the game is quite good with it.
Well, I've finished all the core game, plus the optional DLCs. Managed to get a fair few achievements along the way, but now just play to enjoy it and/or in co-op.
As above, I'd highly recommend this game - it's been a thoroughly enjoyable experience through out. A couple more pics....!
One...
Turns out my man-maths of looking at the length of coiled cable was way out - I had plenty left. :P
More than happy with the set. Paid £50 for the full lot and sold my old Cambridge SoundWorks 5.1 to my mate for a token £15. So on balance, £35 is a worthy investment.
Cheers for the responses guys.
@R3k1355 - It's an older Logitech Z-5500 system, which I paid peanuts for tbh. Loving the sound so far - I'm not a fan of wall-shaking bass or sounding like I'm in the middle of a war zone.
But having some richer audio coming through while watching TV is nice. I...
I had no idea that the top bits of the grille actually crept into the bonnet area?
Not a fan of either tbh - it looks like rust has eaten into the leading edge and some dodgy Polyfilloh job has been attempted. Both options are clearly out of your control, though. Similar in appearance to those...
Chaps,
Just after some feedback regarding cabling for a 5.1 setup for the TV.
I've bought a 2nd system over the weekend and tested it, which works fine. Although I had some longer cables with it, I might need just a little longer on the other three. The sub connects all the satellite speakers...
Unfortunately - that's unlikely to happen. The CD Projekt Red's of this world are few and far between. Holding onto just one title (I'm thinking Witcher 3 here) and focusing their attention on not only patching it - but also to add significant features and depth to the few DLCs that have been...
Fairly lardy then?
That said, I was shocked at some of the newer cars these days - the current Polo GTi is north of 1,300kgs! I think it was @JB21 who mentioned about his previous 6 MPS and that he always noticed the bulk it was carrying - despite the power and ability of the 4WD setup.
I...
Another Car Sale 101 fail....
The profile pic looks great. The other pic with snow-foam/suds shows that it's looked after. Then not to at least wipe down the engine bay with a damp cloth??
I don't get it? Does look a nice car to have too.
Nope - well, at least that the plan not to, anyway!
We'll be a super-select group of owners at some point, Chris. Ones where we can command £50k for our ageing Frenchies to those desperate to own one. Possibly... (or never)
Liam's got a point with favouring multiplayer. I only have to look at the online sessions on SE4 and there will usually be a handful of co-op games in progress. Switch the tab to multiplayer, and there are screens-worth of sessions currently open. It seems like they are merely following the...
This has been a long running argument - especially with FPS games. For me, I always play the campaign through first - the COD games in particular.
Very rarely do I switch tact, unless games like the excellent Sniper Elite 4 come along where the co-op mode is just as enjoyable as the core...
Nope - I totally get where @White16valver is coming from. Although I do have an iPod in the car, there are a shitload of benefits to having one.
They are peanuts to buy on eBay thanks to Apple pulling the plug on them.
Can hold a ton of music that's independent of using up your own phone's...
Am I right in saying that aluminium panels and sections don't rust in the traditional sense. But more likely corrode over time without proper protection?
I think this is the first build on here that I've looked at and gone "WOW" through to "WTF has happened there?" (the one where you added the front splitter) and then back to "WOW" again!
Epic build, with equally epic attention to detail and commitment from yourself.
