I think it's Elephant. They refused to allow the garage to fit it. He wants the car back so as long it is safe, he's not bothered but they just won't allow it. He is currently driving a diesel insignia which is horrible to drive!

A friends MK4 R32 was bashed into 6 weeks ago which damaged the steering rack amongst other parts. They are struggling to get hold of a genuine VW replacement part and so he gave the garage permission to fit a reconditioned unit. The insurers rejected this as it is part of the vehicle safety...

My 172 non cup made 178BHP @ RS Tuning a few weeks ago after cat back exhaust, induction kit and 98 RON Fastchip map. Before any mods it made 163BHP. It drives so much better now!

Mine is doing the same thing, I have been told it's the top mounts.

I'm with Greenlight Insurance. Mine came from an £900 renewal price with Esure to £550 with Greenlight with the exhaust declared.

The last time I changed mine I think the bits cost about £40 for the oil, filter and new sump washer. That was using Carlube Triple R Fully synth and genuine filter and sump washer. I always get mine serviced at a garage every year to get the stamp but change the oil every 5 - 6k myself.

I have it on mine, it did my head in the the first 1000 miles or so but has settled down a bit. I'm still considering getting a silenced centre section as it's not great on the motorway.
