Hadn't considered it as the lack of performance has only come about after a misfire, she's just done 102k and I am sitting on all the parts needed for a full timing and drive belt change, just not the tools or a willing mechanic lol.
Might have to look into getting it done.
I pulled the carpet lining up yesterday evening and yeah It's just a cap to hold the carpet in, It pains me to say it but despite all bits changed she's still running like a bag of crap, last nights cruise was more stressful than enjoyable lol.
That makes sense, cheers, sorry to be a pain but if you or anyone has the time any chance you can snap of pic of what an undamaged one looks like, it'll help me out a lot, I can rule that out as being the root of my problem. The only other issue I can think of is a slightly perished O Ring on...
Cheers for the feedback on the VVT - sorry / Force of habit
Well this morning I've treated her to a new Crank Sensor & Pre Cat Lambda, again noticed minor improvements to the car's idle, and the laggy / laboured feeling when accelerating feels like it's smoothed out, but still no 5k kick to put...

Was going...

Cheers
Hi Guy's,
I've had a few problems with my 182 many of which have been solved by reading the forums but I just want to run the scenario I'm facing with veterans like yourselves and get a second opinion.
Standard 182 FF regularly serviced, showed an EML which the OBDII reader...
That's good to hear, once the car's back from having the Cam Belt done, I'll gut the OEM Radio, with the state of the roads where I am CD's are not an option ;)
Cheers for the reply, My concern is that the CC buttons on the wheel are integrated with the stalks on the 182/172, and although yes the display for the Cruise control is on the instrument panel I have seen Renault wire up things in bizarre manners before, take the early MK1 Clio & Meganne...
Just a quick question for those that have gone down the Connects 2 path, does the cruise control still work after changing the head unit? I know the HUD will only display time & temp.
