its not that old, only done about 6k on it, suppose i could change it again though, its pretty cheap and easy to do
might try the CTS thing in the mornin if ive got time, rarely do, plus ive now got a problem with the alarm !...
5 at most really........if you mean seperate ones for each gear im in, after that its fine
its like its runnin on 3 cylinders really.......jus not itself at all
it idles perfectly normally, but once you go to drive off it hesitates, low on power and the exhaust note isnt quite right, 1 min later and its all fine
ive replaced most things on that list
thanks mate ill give it all a go
one point, the hose that connects to the inlet manifold which comes from the map sensor, mine is araldited onto the manifold because the bit it goes onto, on the manifold, snapped off, do you think this might have anything to do with it ?
this only really happens from when the car has been left for a few hours, if its still hot then its ok
basically for the first 30 seconds/1 minute of me driving the car is low on power and feels like its only runnin on 3 cylinders, after ive drove down the road its fine, jus comes back to life...
Silkolene rules !!!........proper ester based synthetic, and not over the top prices like Mobil 1......you get 5L in a bottle not 4L !
ive got Pro S 5W-40 to go in the valver
still seems dodgy as funk to me, once the caliper clamps down on the disc, doesnt it get pulled forward in the carrier ?........doesnt that put stress on those guide pins against the hole they are in, in the carrier ?
i do realise its obviously ok or else everyone would crash all the time, but...
well i really didnt expect the caliper to be held on in such a way, i thought it would be a lot more secure that 2 small bolts which go into a nut with a tube on the end which happens to just sit inside the carrier, not secured in, in any way
strange
when i was doing the brakes on my car, one of the guide nuts?....on the caliper carrier fell out
i presume this isnt normal ?
ill order new ones tomorrow if it isnt
a lot easier than i thought, dont know why ive been paying someone else to do this for me
fitted my Brembo Max discs and Pagid Fast Road pads today
think i might replace the calipers as they dont look 100% but they still stop the car pretty well
if any of you are a bit wary of doing this...
yea i know, but it stops the edges getting rusty and it had collected on the disc surface which would be in contact with the pad, it wasnt just in the wrong place it had collected and was raised up about 1mm in quite a large section of the disc
well ive gone and bought Pagid F/R as i got em very cheaply
bought Brembo Max discs too but the anti rust coating on one of em was sprayed all to c**k so im gettin a replacement on Monday
