DoW runs on the 1024x700 resolution but still suffers slow down during mid battles. The last C&C game I owned was the original Red Alert and that was fantastic... loved the Mammoth tanks and Tesla Coils. Looking back though the AI was terrible... the CPU just sat in its base most the time and...
Really... that would be cool. Although apparently Warhammer is a bit of a geek hobby, the PC game is excellent. Do you know where I can download the extra units from at all?
Is Tiberium Wars the new C&C or the second one?
Supreme Commander might run on the most basic settings on my PC, but...
Having completed Dawn of War and both the add-ons, just wondering if there were any other extras worth downloading anyone knows of the continue the game (decent maps, extra units or races etc).
I would love to get Supreme Commander having been a massive fan of Total Annihilation a few years...
Yeh thanks for the help on ordering my PC kit too mate. Got a really good deal with the weak dollar at the moment, £113 with a set of pads and Sonus paint cleaner fully delivered to my door in 4 days.
You fool! I have noticed that the bottom of the bodykit just outisde the driver's door is a little scratched so going to use the 4" pads on there. I have read that you can cause damage by angling the PC rather than laying it flat, much truth in this?
Just leave a note in the car and stick it to the dash saying not to clean it. They would rather not do it as saves them time and money, and if they go ahead with it and damage it in any way then will cause them a lot more hassle.
good luck mate must be annoying. Think you might be screwed though, only solution would be a remove some of the top layer of the fabric lining in the boot (works a lot better than it sounds - especially for things like chewing gum on carpets).
I use Collinite 476 in the winter months... still use a sealant underneath it too. They lack depth but have a good gloss to them. Depends what sort of finish your after. On a silver or white car they are ideal.
Lots of places sell it... that's the easy bit.
Make sure you read the guide how to use it as you can potentially cause damage if you don't know what you are doing. Don't worry though, it is excellent if you follow some simple rules and produces very good results.
Main points are don't use if...
A billion posts on this already if you use the search section... best clays to use are the medium to light ones for normal purposes. The Sonus Green clay is good for detailing, the grey ones good for slightly heavier work.
For beginning with, get a decent shampoo (I like Chemical Guys Extreme...
Depends... I have only ever done my car once as it is well maintained. Apparently with a normal grey or green clay you can use them regularly, but I wouldn't as they are abrassive (although only slightly) on your paint.
If you run a finger across your paint it should feel smooth like glass, if...
Think mine baked on in the sun last weekend, will try a few things before claying though - a lot of hassle and don't really want to fork out for the clay right now either.
It normally comes off with a little elbow grease though with some QD as you say.
Definitely.
Think some bloody tree sap has made its way onto my roof and bonnet. Going to try just using some paint cleaner before claying again, especially as I don't have any green clay at the moment.
Damn environment, why can't we live in a concrete jungle with no mud, insects or trees?!? ;)
It is pretty simply removing wax, but the key is that you are applying it over a pristine (or as close as) paint finish, e.g. no tree sap or other contaminants bonded to it. Also, don't wax in the sun, and don't let the wax cure too long, no more than 5 minutes or so.
Also, the type of cloth...
Is this Clean Your Car you are talking about? If so I emailed them a few days ago (I thought the guy was called Tim?) and received no reply from them. Maybe they have gone fishin' ??
Yeh I noticed even the bottom of your exhaust is clean... you loser!! :rasp:
If I didn't drive on motorways most days I would probably have the same level of details but pointless on a car I use every day. People think I am bad enough as it is!
I can't believe you clean the lower grille... I have only ever done this once and I lost the will to live. Spray down and wipe over with a cloth is as far as I go on that... I do drive my car after all Rich! ;) :quiet:
I use Chemical Guys New Look Vinyl Treatment on my front splitter, fog surrounds, the mesh and other plastics and tyres - so it is a great all round product which adds protection and a glossy finish which I like (this can be played up or down depending how much you use).
Available from Car...
I use SRP followed by CG Wheel Guard, then somtimes a sealant and/ or Collinites 476. Main thing is that they are always shining and easy to clean.
Alternatively, buy some black alloys!
There delivery times are normally 1 or 2 days.
Never used that QD before, you should be able to tell yourself if you like it or not. TBH they all do a relatively similar job - as long as they remove dust and marks and leave a nice waxy or glossy finish then that is good!
Yeh might be ordering frm there as Tim has been slow to get back to me. :(
Rich - have you used any of the other in the Jeffs range, the prime products sound pretty good, and have been very impressed with the spray sealant, leaves a really glossy finish. Cheers for the PM too...
I don't!! Think will be getting a boring silver one next time as can't afford to spend so much time cleaning a darn car!! Does look hot though - but my Dad can just spray his over with a QD and looks amazing even in the sun. Jealous times...
Look a bit puny and half- attempt to me. I would like to see them bigger as that will make a more definitive statement. Also, not sure if Inferno is the best colour for them: blacks and silver work best in my opinion.
