Exactly, hot hatch ownership is resonably expensive but i would let £70 put me off for pound for pound performance, Road tax is only a drop in the ocean of car ownership

Bought mine for £3750 5 months ago, one owner from new with FSH and 44k on the clock, very minor stone chips as expected.
Should get a good one for 3k although your about to get the usual "spend a bit more and buy" a cup etc etc, zzzzzzzz...!
This lads bang on mate, i drive all different kind of roads and over the entire 5 months ive owned my Ph1 ive averaged 31mpg.
Im not saying its not possible to get over and above but for a prolonged period you can forget it.
