what ever you do dont losen the flange around the input shaft to the box. I did and it spewed all the box oil out over the nice new shiny clutch :( By moving it i had popped the seal off the back of the flange. Fortunately on a Phase 1 172 box it pushes back in. Apparently with a later box...

Took 4 weeks to change my clutch !!!!! Major dramas but now all sorted !!!! Remember - dont touch that gearbox sleeve :( In reality it books at 8 hrs i think.... My valeo clutch works like a dream and that is after it got a good soaking in oil :(

I sold a set recently but then i have damaged one slightly. I am convinced they are made of cheese ! Only very slight dent on the inner rim where i caught a pothole. Are they repairable ? Is it economical ?

the old clutch was still good. it was the crb that faikled - big style..... have you ever known a gearbox input seal to go ? does that plate around the input shaft carry a seal or just the sleeve for the CRB ?
