I wouldnt be tempted to wash it with a pressure wash it mate, as you obviously know even the slightest spray through the grill and onto an electrical component could be an expensive fix..
Id stick with the hose!
IT would be usefull if you had a picture of your car as it was before the crash, the repare company HAVE GOT TO return it as it was the way before.
If they refuse the ombudsman and a lawyers letter should suffice ;-)
Not if you no where to look, i just got my belts and tensioners done and a service and it was £550, very resonable for the work!
You could always get in touch with the last owner once you get the log book as his/her name will be on it, just ask them if the belts have been done even if theres...
mmmm thats expensive, still i dont compromise when it comes to my car im very picky on things like this, if one spark plug fails id change them all same goes for the leads! :o
Id get the belt done just to be safe, 5 years or 72k as you probaly know...
Also, try www.mycarcheck.com that will tell you most of what you need to know ie accident damage, mileage checks and the like...
Get some more angled pics, looking down on it side on... etc etc
Probaly better if lower but then you would have to live in a country with no speed bumps to entertain it which is lets face it, not here lol
A meet would be magic (couldnt make the peebles run as the clio's decided to run on 3 cylinders for some reason for the time being)
Where do you have a meet for everyone though?
It might not be the spark plug (i hope to christ for the sake of sparing cash i dont have at the mo) it is...
How long were you driving the thing on 3 cylinders for? Suley the cat was flooding with fuel? lol
Id put it up at 7k ono and not take anything below £6675 at the very worst...
The cars barley been broke in ffs!
Again not the best time to be parting with a car with not the greatest economy around. Hard times are upon us!
+++1
Easily i hate to say it again but ever rising fuel costs, mortgage fixed rates coming to an end, food bills going skyward, everyones disposable income is becoming not so disposable anymore.
Who really wants a car capable of 30-34 mpg?
Apart from all of us i mean lol
Good luck in...
Im gonna get stuck into it tomorrow, what the exhaust tech guy said it could be a spark plug problem (the camblet and tensioners along with a service was done less than 3 months ago so the spark plugs seems non viable)
Surley if there was a problem with hos work it should have developed long...
Id put it up for £6450 ovno
I think you might struggle to sell it atall at the moment unless its dirt cheap, the market is awash with 182's at the moment.
Right ive taken it to a local exhaust specialist and it turns out that it isnt the exhaust atall causing the problem, turns out the car is firing on 3 cylinders, it could possibly be Spark plugs, HT leads or a coil pack.
Not good whatever it is!
This isnt good, i thought it was the exhaust but the engine management light came on...!
I think its a coil pack and/or spark plug! Anyone recommend anywhere ill get these 2 things cheap.
Phoned Euro Car parts the coil pack is £32 and the spark plugs are less that £3. Is this cheap????:mad...
