thats true yes, like if you fit a Citroen wheel (about a 15 offset), to a Ford (usually a 38 offset) they stick out too far
i work at Motor World and the offset usually supplied for all Clios is 38 if the wheel is made in that offset, if you have been sent 40 and they only make 35 and 40 id...

exactly how do you use it, do you just wrap it around and jubilee it on ?
the cleaning properties of it should be enough of a reason to use it, it really does clean inside the engine, EVO did a proper test with internal pictures after a few thousand miles and it was a lot better
