May i add that if i were in your shoes i would go for the CTR mate. First of all and probaly above all reliability and re-sale value are the plus points of ther Honda!

Thats an intresting point mate, although bear this in mind at the moment petrol in glasgow as of an average £1.07 and diesel is £1.17, now obviously thats 10p of a diffrerence of every fill up.

Can anyone honestly say that they have had more than 350-390 miles to a tank of fuel from there 172? All this piish that you can get 40mpg, yeah its possible but hardly from a sustained run!

Perhaps you should consider a pre-owned clio, the depreciation on Renaults is atrocious, never would i buy a new one, soon as you sit your arse in the seat and drive away you can expect to lose £750-£1000 from it straight away.....

You have to remember that when a manufacturer makes a claim of a certain MPG, they put the car on an airstrip with no wind,zero humidity ,nothing in the boot,no passengers, windows up, air-con off and does a steady 56mph (optimum fuel consumption at this speed)
Then print this in there glossy...
