if it was oil the smoke wouldnt be white, it would be blue/purple white smoke is usually just condensation in the exhaust system

u take the filter off and spray it into the air intake read the instructions though i cant remember how much of this you use

think about it mate, once you turn the key any oil thats in the sump will be pumped around the engine......so even travelling to the garage you will have moved any oil that was drained down into the sump definitely do it hot, the hotter the better

id stick to a replacement element or get a good carbon airbox one like the BMC CDA..........its a lot cheaper than the Viper....reason being is that the engine bay on a 16v gets very very hot, so if you have an open filter your gonna be suckin in tons of hot air, meanin u will lose power...

you can get the BMC replacement filters, as used in the Ferrari and BMW Formula 1 cars from any local Motor World......

standard pads produce loads of dust........ get some K-Tec Kevlar or EBC Green Stuff ive currently got the K-Tec Kevlar on mine, same setup as you, RT with 16v setup, and they work straight from cold, a lot better than original pads, and half the brake dust or less, plus there bloody cheap...
