the Silkolene bottles are usually quite generously filled too, you usually get over 5L in em...

BenR.....hes got a 1.6 16v mate, not a valver i would have suggested going for the motorsport version if it had been a proper 16v..... though i still reckon you cant go wrong with 5W-40, i mean the Cup race cars use it (Elf), as do lots of other race cars, the Peugeot team uses 5W-40 Total...

i know you mentioned speed bumps, but you HAVE to lower it..... if your worried about the height then simply get Eibach springs, they wont lower you too much chances are you will return to normal ride height due to you now having 17" wheels....

P reg is the Mk 1 Phase 3 isnt it ? not sure where the inlet is on those but if its like the 1.4 then your probably best off with with a replacement element, cos if its just sat on top it will draw in a lot of hot air... otherwise, if it will fit (3 bolt air box ?), then go for a Hill Power...
