i can guarantee you will notice a difference if you get that lot done at the same time....i noticed slight increases with mine every time i did a mod, the chip having the most difference IMO......if done all at once your car should be a lot better
the chip gives gains by increasing the fuelling, which takes advantage of the extra air being drawn in, usually also changes the ignition slightly
and dont most ECU controlled cars refer to a table at WOT ?....i know it definitely ignores the lambda sensor
right, ring Nick at Hill Power and get the following
Stage 1 Chip
Induction Kit
De-Cat pipe
with fitting aswell i doubt that would be more than £300, also make sure your car is well serviced, like change the oil, check all the fluid levels, change the plugs, get a new dizzi cap and rotar...
you cant really tune the engine mate without messin with the ECU, which means gettin a chip
your first thing to do should be to give the car a damn good service, if it doesnt need one then start buyin some stuff
id definitely take a trip to Hill Power if i was you....im from Merseyside an it...
get a hill power induction kit mate.....the others are crap....
also fit it yourself it is VERY easy......
another thing, ask what there gonna do to tune up your car, its probably just an oil an plug change
it shouldnt on a 16v.......as i said the emission laws on newer cars are far stricter so they are usually running leaner than an older car would, as standard
when at WOT, then as far as i know the ECU has a table of values it uses, and it ignores a lot of the sensors it has around the engine
think this is only a problem with 172s, as they would have been close to lean running anyway because they have tighter emissions to pass
just thought id let you all know we now get 5% discount at Dampertech
http://www.dampertech.co.ukwww.dampertech.co.uk
email em with your requirements for a price !....they can supply GAZ suspension
gonna order some coilovers soon myself....
doubt i can do 9 seconds, but ive done 11 seconds before, thats down from 12.5 seconds standard
also im 74bhp at the wheels so id say at least 90bhp at the fly, so im up 10bhp+
ring Nick at Hill Power, his setup will sort the fuellin out and is cheaper than a Superchip....
dont just fit an induction kit, theres plenty people on here been runnin lean with just that, and you will f**k up your engine by doin that
lose the spare wheel an clean all the junk out of your car
get to Hill Power an get de-cat, induction kit, and stage one chip.......and also get a full exhaust system, i recommend the K-Tec ones
if you get it all at once you will definitely notice a difference
yes its safe to mix all oils available to you
if its tappety when cold, then you need an oil that will flow better in the cold, so you need one with a lower first number......go to Halfords an pick up a 1L bottle of Halfords 5W-40 or Mobil 1 0W-40
make sure you got room to put the oil in...
yea as paul says, dutton james should have one in.....they did have 2 but paul just bought one...
if you need to know where it is then me/paul could meet you somewhere
nope, its just the rocker cover not the head gasket, you should just need to undo about 8 bolts take the rocker cover off, remove old gasket, fit new one, an do it back up....job done
no idea mate, ive been emailin the bloke askin him stuff over the past two weeks an he seems a good guy so i dont think you would have any trouble at all
