right tomorrow im gonna sort the earth out on my amp, make sure its in a good place
where is THE best place on a Clio Mk1 to do this, should i buy anythin from Halfords etc to make a good contact or anythin ?
afaik the BBs are GAZ arent they
you can get GAZ from http://www.Dampertech.co.ukwww.Dampertech.co.uk email em an ask
ive just negotiated a 5% discount for clio sport members with them, and ill be ordering my kit very soon
you might have a go at a standard one once you have managed to catch it up, there is no chance you could out accelerate one off the line, not a chance in hell
not many standard ones about though really
top end though you will beat it, but by that time the R5 owner would have probably backed off
i know what you mean about being recommended oils by people that they have used, purely because of the price of it
in my opinion, an ive read a hell of a lot about oils and tried plenty, id go with either Silkolene Pro S 5W-40 ( http://www.a-pp.comwww.a-pp.com ) or Total Quartz 9000 5W-40 (...
the fibreglass thing acts as more than a heatshield, it makes sure the cold air drawn in surrounds the filter, rather than like a usual induction kit where you just get a small bit of ducting to point at the filter
if its just a top up it needs, buy a 1l bottle of Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 next time your fillin up with petrol, if your at a Total/Elf Station......get Quartz 9000 5W-40.........if your at Halfords get the silver one, fully synthetic 5W-40......if your at a Texaco, go somewhere else its crap !:)
i dont think it will be better tbh mate, if you have got a decent cold air feed, then as soon as ur off from the lights then the HP kit should be of a benefit compared to the OE airbox, however lots of people do like to keep it
buy one an give it a go, if its the best for you then keep it, if...
yea, all you need to do mate is spray some WD40 on the ends of it, thats what i did the night before, and on the mornin i went to Hill Power, an Nick said mine was easy to do cos id done that
thinner than the OE item yea it probably is
did you actually order a replacement element, or a group N one, as i know Green do actually sell there motorsport filters to joe public
christ thats really bad, get that guys name and report him to Renault Customer Service.....not much is likely to be done but you might get some vouchers out of it hehe
i know GAZ have better corrosion protection than the AVOs......thats what ive heard anywayz....
an with most coilovers you can adjust the ride height to suit you
just phoned insurance an actually got through to the inspector who came round yesterday, and he said he is going to give the bodyshop authorisation !
called the bodyshop an he said hes ordered the parts so as soon as there in then were good to go....
now that side of its all sorted, i just...
if its REALLY a group N filter then it wont filter as good as a road filter, as its meant for racing........in fact it might only have 1 layer of cotton gauze, whereas street filters have usually 3 sometimes 4....
dont be chuckin 15W-50 in a bloody 172.......
what your usin is fine mate......if your that sure it was the oil then go to your local Elf / Total Station and pick up some Total Quartz 9000 5W-40, its highly likely its the same product as the Elf version...
ive got that in my RT an its sweet...
cant remember to be honest mate, i had all new suspension fitted at the same time, an brakes too, so i cant remember what cost what....
ring Nick.... http://www.hillpower.co.ukwww.hillpower.co.uk
i know somewhere that will do it for £50 a side, £35 a side if ur havin some more work done....
and they definitely do a very good job
RS Autobodies in Pilsworth, Bury.......Manchester
i ended up going to Hill Power to have mine done
Adi went to ABP but its possible they didnt do a proper job which might have caused his recent accident.....so until thats decided i wouldnt go there myself
i could cope with the blame taking a while to sort out, however it shouldnt though as its obvious who was to blame, he drove into me !
as long as the parts turn up fast then its ok.......
