    starting out advice.

Afternoon all. I'm thinking of slowly working my way into detailing and just learning what I can. I don't want to go all out straight away since the whole front end needs a respray anyway (nor do I have loads of money to spend) So I was looking for some product recommendations for...

DCi cruise control retrofit. What else do I need?

Hey guys, I've seen one of the guides for the crusie control retrofit to a 172/DCi, but it's missing a few pictures so I was struggling to find what I needed. This is the wiring currently behind my panel (ignore the extra switch, the previous owner put in some on/off relay but I have no idea...

    What's your car called?

I named my first car (ph1) "baby" in the hope noone would put her in a corner. (the missus had a high level of input) Haven't named anything else though.

Cheers for the meet! Was a decent turnout, and good to finally put some faces to usernames!

    Southend Meet 03-08-13

Well the cambel change was a FAIL. The bolt for the crankshaft pulley has seized, definitely going to need an air gun for it. I have someone coming to view my old car at 6 but will try and get down after? would have been interested in meeting at Bluewater, but I'm going to be running a bit late!

    Project #69; Clio 182FF

Just out of curiosity, How are you finding the Heat in the car when it's been left out in the sun? Especially with all that insulation used for soundproofing! Made any difference?

    Options with puncture.

Cheers for that pal! would have been perfect, but none are close enough for me to get to after work before they close.

    Options with puncture.

This is the lovely shard that payed me a visit: I imagine I should be able to get it repaired tomorrow.

    Options with puncture.

Ah excellent, never actually had a puncture before and never knew that. Any idea on how much it'll cost me?

    Options with puncture.

Just went to inspect my back tyre which looked flat, I thought a kerb was just deceiving me, but it is indeed flat. Found a shard of metal about the size of a 5p coin stuck in it, but its below the tread line. I've left it in. The car just had 4 new tyres fitted, so i'm pretty pissed. I've...

    Backing up HTC.

After a bit of advice from those experienced with androids/HTCs. I smashed up my HTC One X screen today at work (Read: "Take THAT Gorilla glass") and have filed a claim on my phone insurance for a repair/replace/whatever. I'm looking to back up everything on my phone, so when I send it off, I...

The 'What MPG Do You Get?' Thread

Done two runs from Bluewater in Kent to Bristol in the DCi now, both hitting traffic on the m25 and pissing about with the boost. Still never read below 70mpg. Hopefully it should look better once I've fitted cruise. Doing another run this evening, but have a passenger, will see how much...

    Under Seat Sub

Vibe blackair V12 12". Something like 1600w. Bit over powered and weighs like 25Kg. thats precisely what I'm after! I may look in to the newer models in that case, at the moment I was looking in to Alpine.

    Under Seat Sub

From the amount of praise you're singing I'd be seriously interested in looking at the new models! 'd love an under-seat for the space and less weight, but I'm just so fussy about the actual sound quality - my Vibe is an absolute beast when it comes to high volumes etc, but I only ever have it...

I've been looking at these recently too. I've currently got: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_773427_langId_-1_categoryId_265872 But am looking to cut down to keep boot space and save as much weight as I can for MPG y0. Never had...

    Mackerfly"s Daily DCi

I always though the intercooler etc was a straight fit from the 80 to the 65? Just the remap for now, get rid of the torque limiter and aim about 115-120bhp. Don't really fancy pushing it to the 130bhp mark, thats when injectors/clutch etc start getting to their limits.

    Mackerfly"s Daily DCi

Very tidy pal! Just got my hands on a DCI so I'll be keeping one eye on your thread to see where it all goes! I definitely plan on swapping the alloys and headlights in a similar way to yourself. Any performance plans?

    Tail's DCi 100.

Certainly will be doing that soon enough. Will look at options for cold air feeds and the like - never had a diesel so I have some reseach to do. Will probably be doing a weekend of engine bay work, as it's possible my dad will be helping me do the Belts myself (only a possibility, lots to look...

    Tail's DCi 100.

That's probably what I'm looking forward to most. Once some of the maintenance stuff is out of the way, I'm looking forward to pushing about 115bhp and getting rid of the torque limiter to bring me up to like 185lb/ft. just need to find somewhere suitable near me to get the map done. First...

    Tail's DCi 100.

Hello all, Some of you may know that I've been on the look out for a good, high spec DCi clio due to a long distance relationship, since my 1.4 16v ph1 wasn't really cutting the mustard. Yesterday, my luck paid out, and this is what I have landed myself with! My 1.5 DCi 100 Dynamique, A few...
