Taking you back home is more expensive, obviously, standard recovery takes you 10 miles to a local garage etc, roadside with national recovery is £71 per year with the AA. http://www.theaa.com/breakdown-cover/uk-breakdown/view-options.do?optMshp=vcon200 or £65 with the RAC...
Depending on what cover level you require, starting about £50 per year.
Used both the AA and RAC and in my experience they are both as good as each other.
I like the A1, but I'd have it in a different colour.
PCP is each to their own. Alot of people (including me tbh) see it as dead money, renting a car etc and never owning it.
Alot of other people see a car as a depreciating asset, why would you want to own it? Like Gally said alot of rich...
First dibs on parts/swaps from your M3 to mine Dave....!
I'm on the fence, also a little confused, is the 330 the Mrs' car? Unless i've misread this your contemplating getting rid of 3 cars and getting 1 and being a 1 car household?
Long term commitments are all well and good, but you WILL...
Jamie, i've got the wrong coloured one at home which you can have.
I bought one years ago and it turned out to be the wrong colour, so I just bought another, but apparently either can be used.

Yeah read that on cutters somewhere, can't see the appeal myself.
CSLs with 12mm spacers & extended bolts seems to be the best option. Maybe Eibach Pro's.
Cheers Dave, BJV Engineering are about 200 miles from me, however, I have heard good things about closer refurbers in my area. Hyper Silver got my nod too, as they are most OEM. I'll drop the guy a mail on cutters and see what he can offer.
I'm 99% sure I'm going to be putting CSL's on my M3, but there are a number of colour options, would appreciate if someone could photoshop each option so I can see what all options would look like.
Hyper Black Shadow Chrome CSL
Black Polished CSL
Hyper Silver CSL
And my car...
Nice one Dave, clean pictures look great in low light such a changing colour, mines it at an independent now getting an Inspection 1, brake fluid change and new stoppers put on. Also I'm having M-Track enabled this week hopefully so I can really learn how to drive it as I find the DSC too...
Cracking trip and write up.
My second visit to the ring is booked for July this year, might have a look at some alternative routes rather than Belgium motorways.
Really am torn between OEM 19s refurbed properly or CSL Reps with various finish options over on cutters. We'll see come spring as I can get another couple of months out of my tyres yet.
Re: let us see pictures off your old cars you owned
I seem to keep cars a long time, quite a minimal collection compared to others.
1st Car - Rover Metro - No pictures unfortuantley, really learned to drive in that thing
2nd Car - Pug 306 XS - Bought standard, spent thousands, got written off...
Looking after it well Jamie, good lad! Looks really well in those pictures.
Read your post on the brake pedal sensor, I had to replace one whilst I had it, rubbish cheap things, 2 min job, you sorted it?
Cheers for the comments, I was quite anti and stereotypical about BMWs before I drove one, but the M3 is something else, such an over-engineered piece of awesome-ness! As it stands, in two years time I'll buy an E92 v8 M3, unless my circumstances change.
Brake Pad wise it's a minefield, so many options and such a wide price point, tbh I might end up going to DS2500's I had these on the Clio and they were great. EBC Yellow R Compound are much improved over the yellow stuff of old.
Exhaust polish is on the list along with leather cleaner and...
I had to wait in today for a collection, which left me with a few hours spare so I used them well and gave the M3 a proper clean and a couple of coats of polish. I've owned it since December but today has been the first time I've had to polish it. And well, what a task it was, the paint was...
Date dependent (work 2 weekends in 6) I'll be up for this.
However, sold the 182 now, so if non CS is allowed it'd be good to stretch the legs in the M.
Cracking write up that, had similar emotions when I recently picked up the M3. The anticipation on the way there and all the what if's, would it be what I wanted it to be etc and the realisation on the way home when it is, above and beyond what you expected.
Proper garage that! Mine's tiny and could squeeze the 182 in but the M has no chance.
Good update, project thread has gone a bit sideways mind you but an interesting twist, any pics of the rest of the house?
Hey, I recognise that! :)
Glad your pleased with it Jamie, I'm happy to see it go to another member and I'm sure you'll look after it.
Took a last picture of it this morning with its replacement
Enjoy it!
