    New valves, verdict

So apparently Renault don't sell valves anymore, none on the Renault parts direct website. Found some OE on the engine dynamics website though? http://www.engine-dynamics.com/EngineComponents/cid95/EngineComponents.asp Still the same for these? Avoid or ok?

    New valves, verdict

Well I'm going with catcams springs and I've increased the valve clearance on the pistons by 1mm all round as well. I'm only running 428's so not massive lift.

So a no no then? Thiught if they were OE would be fine but guess I'll just bite the bullet!

    New valves, verdict

I'm after some OE new valves and came across these on ebay http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=120995424859 Just after opinions on them, obviously there a damn bit cheaper than getting them from Renault! Also, no I don't have the money for supertech ones before anyone starts ha ha

    FF Inferno 182

Yeah hopefully once mines fixed will get on the track eventually! Mate would thoroughly recommend federal rsr's! I've got them on mine and they're epic, and much cheaper than ad08's

    head work??? (pics)

So today I fitted my matched inlets and after taking my lower one off it looks as if the head has had some work done. Has it had a port/polish or is this standard?

Upper inlet- anyone know what this is for?

End of the day I paid for a one to fit. Plus there's the fact that it doesn't have the same bolt hole locations!
  18. hanby42

Upper inlet- anyone know what this is for?

Cheers was trying to trace but couldn't figure out what it was. So basically though if I dont have this fitted I'm going to have engine management light in my face! Guess it's getting sent back!
  19. hanby42

Upper inlet- anyone know what this is for?

Just bought some matched inlets and the upper inlet sent doesnt have this on, plus a couple of other things are different like the upper left bolt position for the cyclinder head is different. I fear they've sent a 172 inlet instead of a 182!

    ***Tyre Poll***

You must have 15's then! Just stick them on, will be fun! They've still got loads more grip than any other road tyre ive used in the wet!
  21. hanby42

Not quite the usual tyre question....

Not sure if federal RSR's come under that list? But defo recommend for dry!
  22. hanby42

    ***Tyre Poll***

Federal 595 RSR's! Amazing in the dry, still very grippy in wet/greasy conditions but let go very progressively! They're not too much of a fan of standing water but can still cope and at £65 a corner for semi slicks! Amazing!

    Door Open Light Permanently On

Mine does this when it gets hot and/or bumpy. The inside light doesn't come on though so I'm thinking its the boot sensor but not got round to doing anything about as it's cold now and its fine lol!
