Need some advice about my flame red 172.
I bought an Iceberg silver 172 last year planning to use it on track. It's an amazing car, great condition, but it has low mileage 60k and 3 owners, so IMO it too good to be using as a dedicated track car (stripping out etc).
I decided to buy another...
Thanks guys! Looking forward to it. Will let you all know how I get on once I return.
I believe it's just a pretty big event and we all go race against each other on Forza 6. Not sure if it's time trial or what, will need to wait and see.
Winner of the players takes on some real life racing...
Ok, most of you are probably gonna think I'm lying or whatever, but I can assure you I'm not.
I've been selected to compete in the #ForzaFuel tournament in Texas! I've won a fully paid trip out there this week to compete against all the other players from the UK and other countries.
Entire...
IMO the clutch is not faster here, so I have not been using it and ended up 47th in Europe and 70th overall.
At the beginning of the time trial it puts me up against people who did use clutch, and my car is much quicker off the line and into the first corner.
There is very little shifting here...
Anyone entered the Forza Fuel time trial on the demo? (http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/forzafuel/)
Top 2 (and also a wildcard) from each country win flights to the US to race each other on the game.
Currently around 70th in the world (out of 46k) and around 50th in EU (out of 24k).
Pretty fun...
Don't usually get involved in threads, but couldn't resist on this one. Massive fan of Evos.
Here's a pic of my dad's Evo 6 RS. Very similar to yours cosmetically, except black mirrors and door handles and some performance stuff (has no ayc, windy windows, etc. Pretty much built to be turned...
I'm not planning to sell, but just wondering roughly how much my car is worth so I can decide whether it is worth spending some money on. Don't want to put more money into it, than it's worth.
Clio 172 Iceberg Silver
60k miles
3 owners
2 keys
Full service history
Completely standard everything...
I would insure through a broker (as I've read they really don't care about wheel colour change, just note it), but most if not all I have seen require at least 1 years NCB. I have a few years claim free driving, but no NCB which is really restricting to who I go with.
Car isn't insured yet, but I am currently looking for a policy. It's beyond stupid how simply changing the wheel colour from silver to dark silver/grey affects it so much...
I need some help in regards to a change of wheel colour while insuring a car. I know there are a million posts on here with similar questions, but I can't seem to find a recent one, and also one similar to what I am asking.
My completely standard 172 wheels are in serious need of a refurb. I...
Hey all,
Not been on here in a while but have returned for some advice.
Trackday season is coming back up and I am looking into getting a set of 15" wheels. I've been looking at Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s and also Team Dynamics Monza Rs. The Monzas are considerably cheaper than the 1.2s and I...
Hello,
So as it's coming up to the end of the year I'm looking at tyres for next year for trackdays.
Unfortunately, as much as I would like them, I can't afford R888s or A048s, as I will need to purchase wet tyres too.
I came across two different tyres, the 595 RSRs and AD08s. From what I've...
Hey,
So I bought an Iceberg silver 172 in January.
The car is completely standard, has full service history, two keys, three previous owners (including me), and it's got 60k miles on it. It's had timing belt, aux belt and water pump replaced less than 1k ago, and expensive brakes all round...
My Dad did the timing belt for my car. He's done hundreds of timing belts previously so I'm not sure if that's what's causing it.
The car isn't misfiring, and I don't think it smells rich.
Also, not sure if the dyno was slightly off too, as it was a car group we went through with, and the...
Hi there,
Just wondering what my Clio 172 should be running at, as I had it dyno'd today and it was running at a maximum of 153 BHP. Just wondering if this is normal or what, considering the car is about 12 years old?
To be honest I was expecting around 165 so kind of disappointed with it...
I absolutely love turinis but unfortunately wheels is not something on my list ATM. The car was bought mainly to be used on-track, and I need to concentrate on getting other stuff just now (brakes etc.) before I even think about spending £400 on alloys. Gonna get my current ones painted just for...
Hahahaha I guess so lol. It's annoying me now that I have 16" tyres, as if I had dropped a size to 15" I would've been able to pick up a really nice set of wheels for £250 odd! I do still like my current ones although someone did say they are crap. The curbing isn't too bad so I'm just gonna get...
Not sure if I like the originals though. They're very plain.
I was toying with the idea of buying these soon... http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/inovit/force-4/black-polished/16-inch?gclid=COK5nPHe_L0CFSfmwgodcJAAcw
I actually quite like the ones that are on it. Just gonna get them powder coated or re-painted black and carry on using them. I did also get the original 172 wheels with it, but they look absolutely terrible. Not sure what's happened to them but it looks like they've been curbed multiple times...
Just saw silver BK Racing ones on Google Images, that looked almost identical except they were 17" so I think that's them. If only I had a spare £600-£700 I would be having OZ wheels instantly!
You're correct though about the tyres, absolutely brilliant tyres. Can't fault them in the wet or...
