    CLIO 182 Engine finished!!

Would it not be less work to lob an engine in and sell it, or even keep it? (and yes, I am aware its not a 5 minute job to change an engine)

    Superchip

The cars have been around for a while, theres been a fair bit of research into what works and what doesnt, there is a good selection of well regarded people who offer their services, yet people still think tuning cars is as MaxPower used to describe it back in the 90's!!! I deliberately havent...

    Rear wing dents....

Is it just me, or are Mk 2 rear wings especially susceptible to dents, usually in car parks?? I think mines got about 5! Can these generally be pulled out, or is it a bodyshop respray job to sort them?

    Castle Combe casualty (pics)

I was meaning weld a plate to get it as near to flush as possible, then use a really thin ( less than 3 mm) of filler......

    Castle Combe casualty (pics)

From what ive seen/ assume about welding and filling, youd want to weld a plate in, grind the welds flat, then put a really thin skim of filler over that to finish it off. I had a Mk2 fiesta whos front wing top above the headlight was almost entirely filler. It cracked, so I bodge taped it in...

    Castle Combe casualty (pics)

Aye, id be looking to be able to do functional, decent welds, rather than anything fancy.... Ive been spannering for years on some pretty decent stuff, but its one of those things that has never been required in my job so I haven't learned it! Good skill to have IMO. This being one case!!

It all depend on wether the OP wants his car to look 'pretty' or just to be able to use it on track and pass an MOT.

May be worth getting your mot done before January

So, as I may have intimated, I have a 182 with xenons and goosed washers. Would blanking them off be a viable solution??

Does anyone have any special names for their car?

Each to their own I suppose. My folks always named their cars, so I did with mine (apart from a focus that was just a stop gap) and my sister does too!! The names got to have a link to the car though. a 1.2 fiesta couldnt be called speedy!!

What sizes do the SL's come in? Ive never seen any in the flesh, but (IMO) they look like they'd suit a dimma'd 309 or 205, or a T16 or something of that ilk....
