I doubt you'd want the filter after the butterfly.. I think that after the butterfly, the ECU is looking at airflow/density and adding fuel to match, so to mess around with the air after this point wouldnt do things much good.
True. Id doubt you could guarantee getting all the swarf out though... maybe run the risk of blowing any swarf into the edges of the bore/ up around the back of any open valves etc.... Id speak to one of the specialists on here TBH
If you were thinking of helicoiling it, you need to tap a thread for the helicoil to run down, which I cant see being easy to do in situ without getting bits of swarf down the hole.... Thats even if its feasible to use a helicoil for an area under that much stress...
The engine in your car is a K4M, id whack that into a search, as there have been a few threads on it over the years... Some foreign members have been developing a turbo kit afaik.....

If the stuffs on top of the paint surface, you might be able to get it off, have you tried heating it up (decent hairdryer) to see how it reacts??? Could be a case of heat and gently scrape, followed by a good polish to sort that...... Id punt the wheels to a daft looking youth for £5 less than...
I dont recall posting 's**t the bed' on here often... You must know me in real life!!! However, my remark was due to the retro-ness of the wheels in question. As regards youre attempts to increase the centre bore of the wheel, put the files down and get them taken to a machine shop to get them...
