    Cheers Arran. Thanks Chris, The brakes have been completely overhauled so that fine, but the noise certainly is coming from the gearbox. But its difficult to pin point if its coming from the Driveshaft input area or deep inside the gearbox. Would much rather replace driveshaft than gearbox.....

    Gearbox Removal

    Hey i've just bought a 1.4 Clio Dynamique with a slight gearbox grind. I'm assuming its the Diff bearing but not 100%, as when I turn the passengers wheel manually it still makes the scraping/grind noise. What tools are key to removing the gear box? Any specialist tools required?
