Ah right. Mine could do with being jigged but I'm gonna chance it and once we've got it back together in one piece just see how it drives. Apparently costs a bomb to be put ona jig!
Hi mate. I have my subframe out and replaced the bushes yesterday so have some handy information for you! It was out of a valver, but i think they are the same as the mk2's? Cost me £8.82 I think for all the bushes and the bolt but good god were they awkward! Have to be compressed really tight...
Want some reccomendations on which brake pads and discs to go for for my valver. I want decent sets, that produce little brake dust but don't want to pay silly prices as I'm spending a lot lately getting my car back on the road. Heard mintex and EBC pads are good but not too sure... Anyway...
I need a new air filter for my valver too fellas. Unfortunately standard airbox and panel filter is not an option as I do not have the standard air box. If these can be picked up fairly cheap I would consider it, otherwise a fairly decent, but not too expensive option?
About 2 miles down the road from me I spotted a white Golf Mk2 yesterday... It had pink spots on it and pink fluffy interior! lmao... Need to get a pic of it soon.
Rear arches, sunroof leak. And just genereal wear and tear etc. Obiously check the bonnet isn't warm, check for oil leaks etc. However, don't expect much for £300, that pocket money!!!
When I put the engine back in my valver thinking of fitting a standard airbox and panel filter. It did have a tacky K+N filter on it but would returning it to standard be a better choice? I don't have the airbox unit, where can I buy from and how much?
Personally I'd go for the 106 GTI if I hadn't driven either as I think they look quite 'cool', and meant to be quite nippy. They don't come cheap though.
I'm not sure mate. I'm only 18 and got insured on a valver fairly cheap. I did have 2 years NCB though and used a few tricks. Shop around and get some quotes...
