I'll let you know! Mines going in next week for the same service...they quoted £216 including £55 for the oil. Have also got my own which they said was no problem so am expecting them to knock £55 off!! No disclaimer mentioned! That dealer sounds particularly bad...did they say what else they...
Fill to brim every time which costs about £43 now (optimax 99.9p/litre). Usually get about 270 miles/30mpg, occasionally on long run get 37mpg! Noticed with a 1.2 courtesy car that it does about the same doing similar journeys. But when pushing the 182, it can drop to 20mpg....great fun though:D
This just confirms what sh*te you talk...I am using the manufacturers recommended oil at £22 a change! Infact, thats £8 less than Halfords 5W-40.....per change. Excellent, I can pay -£8 for the Elf sticker on the bottle...
Banned...:approve:
Tom, you must have fallen for the marketing to have a newer car then if only marketing has moved on in 10 years....
making you, 'non-thinking', 'ignorant' 'uneducated' and an 'irrational personality type (their words not mine).
What games that then?
Better quality oil will stand more extreme use for longer, therefore less debris! I think a quality oil every 6K is often enough including trackday use....
In any case, the thread was intended for anyone who wants to buy Excellium at a cheaper rate...ok!
Dealer wants £55 for Elf excellium 5W-40 when they service mine in 2 weeks...
So on Wednesday ordered 24 litres from Total Butler in Castleford, speak to Debra Hallas on 01977 603363. Was deivered on Friday morning, all for £86.86!!
Thats enough for 4 services and top ups.....saving well...
Chris inspired me to get my caliper paint out of the garage....been busy doing that today...
and now the inspiration I need to get polishing!! Nice one Rich...the best colour of course;)
Inspiration indeed...had the paint for ages now to do the calipers but been waiting for better weather and the time! Corroded calipers spoil some great looking wheels. Think I'll take the pads out and clean/copper grease while I'm at it...thanks for the tips and motivation!!
Sounds unlucky fella...I've just had minor hassles with mine! Not good enough but was expecting minor hassles. Would be pi**ed with major mechanical problems like yours...
